Hey loriangel14, I already have one year left before I graduate nursing in the Philippines. I'm so close to getting my degree that I don't want it to have been all a waste... if that makes any sense. I have been hearing that foreign graduates trying to take the NCLEX in CA and a few other states having some problems but I am wondering about Nevada since that is where I am headed to once I graduate. If all else fails, then too bad America. I'm moving myself to another country.

Hi everyone! I wasn't sure whether to post this topic under International or here BUT here it goes. 3 years ago, I decided to finish up my BSN in the Philippines (we all know how competitive the nursing program is in Las Vegas). I called Nevada Board of Nursing a few months ago to ask if I would have to take any additional classes there in NV being that I will be graduating from a foreign country. The woman I spoke to (whom wasn't much help) said that as long as the curriculum at my school matches the curriculum of the nursing schools there in NV, there should be no problem. Anyway, my question is: does anyone know what the curriculum is for nursing schools in NV as far as clinical hours etc? Or even better, has anyone recently graduated from a foreign country and was able to take the NCLEX in NV? Thanks so much for your help.
