I'm about to graduate from nursing school in 3 months. But I have never liked school. No doubt in my mind that nursing is for me. I LOVE my job and I have been a float patient support tech for the past 2 years and a CNA before that. It's hard being so broke thru out school and having absolutely no time for any of your friends or family, but if you can get thru that, you've got this. If I could ever give advice to any aspiring nurse, it would be to shadow a nurse if you've never worked in a healthcare setting before. A lot of people spend tens of thousands to graduate with a degree they don't want because they see that it's more than just med passes and charting. WAY MORE. it takes physical as well as emotional tolls on you everyday. just know this is what you want to do for sure, and not having a life for 4 years will pay off in your future for sure!
