1. I completed the accelerated BSc in Nursing in Niagara University. I graduated in 2014. I'm in a process of registering with CNO and believe me it is a long process. Here are my timeline: Dec 2014. Applied to NNAS January 12, 2015. NNAS received all documents required. April 22, 2015. Advisory report issued (Comparable) April 27, 2015 Applied to CNO April 30, 2015. Received letter from CNO asking me for transcripts from previous Bachelor Degree. June 28, 2015. CNO received transcripts from prior Bachelor. Since then I am still waiting. Call them periodically and all they say is that my application is under review. I am a Canadian resident, however if your education is from out of the country they consider you as an IEN. If anyone has a better experience please share as it is very hard to find information with regard to this topic.
2. I am a RN from the US. I have worked in Canada and US and I see no difference between Canadian and US nurses. It is the same anatomy and physiology, med-surg, Ob, etc. I totally agree with the previous comment "Rn registration process in the US is more timely and organized". For the amount of money the CNO charge to IEN I believe the process should be a lot faster. Please stop the hate.
3. Hi everyone! I got accepted in MU 2nd degree nursing for Fall 2012. I have not recieved my letter of acceptance yet but I called and they told me that I was admitted and to wait for an envelop with all the information in the mail. I am out of state student and I am not familiar with the area... I will need to find a place to rent. Does anyone know about a safe and affordable area where I can rent. I will appreciate any information you could provide me with. Thank you, and see you all in fall 2012..
