New Grad. FNP: Need advice on CE
Hello! I am a "NEW" Grad FNP who will start my first career as FNP in ENT clinic. (I am in Texas!) My company only provides $1000 for my CE which is low(I guess). and also, I am not 100% for sure at this point of time but I do not think I will get any paid time off just for CE credits. So, I can only go to conference on weekends (at least I am off on every weekends). I know that AANP and also each states have their own CE requirements and practice hours. I do not worry about practice hours since I am working full time. However, I wish to know how to fill out CE hours in order to maintain my license and AANP certification. 1. Please give me some suggestions for great FNP CE resources! 2. I will work in ENT clinic. If this case, do I only have to look for ENT specific topics in order to gain CE credits? Or is it okay to take any kinds of CE topics such as derm, Diabetes, HTN etc. 3. Since I do not have any paid time off for CME, is it possible to fill out all CE credits through online resources instead of attending a conference? If not then, I need to plan take off time from my personal leave or vacation time! I really appreciate your time! Since I have no idea what should I have to do! In my practice, I am the only mid-level provider so I really need your advice!

Failed the AANP and ANCC
I really really appreciate Tinabeanrn!^^ Your each sentences really encourage me!!!! Right now actually I am planning to listen Fitz. CD once again to fresh my mind and also, I am looking to have any questions that I can take through online or either book. I already had Hollier's questions(I bought it as a paper book rather than online). Is there any online questions bank that you can recommend for AANP FNP exam? I also realized that in AANP website, they do have a practice exam($50) for 75 questions. Is there anyone who tried this practice exam? I did not take Hesi in my school T.T But, I am wondering if this exam questions might be a helpful or not. By the way, Thank you once again!!!!! I definitely do my best and think POSITIVE!!!!

Failed the AANP and ANCC
Thank you so much for the suggestions. Yes! yesterday I was so depressed and I had no idea what to start for. I felt so shame on myself. However, I realized that I need to set up my mind again. Last time, I had Fitzgerald CD's and Leik's review book. I decided to buy a APEA unlimited questions at this time. I hope these study materials can be enough for me to pass for AANP on next month. It is still hard for me not to think about failing again.. However, I will try my best and give a shot!!! I honestly think that ANCC is not a best choice for international NP's^^ Thank you once again!!! p.s oh, one more question! I received an automatic email that they received all of my documents about 3 weeks ago. How long do I need to be wait for get my approval in average? any idea?

Failed the AANP and ANCC
Hi, I really wish to hear about any suggestion or recommendation regarding how to study for exam. Today,I took ANCC FNP cert. and I failed it.. I heard that some people saying both exams are quite different and it is really hard to say which one is easier and which one is not. I've got 339 out of 350 for ANCC today. I am waiting for AANP approval in order to pass. Right now, I am really not sure what to do. Is there any advice for me?

Failed ANCC FNP certification exam
Hi, Today in the morning, i took the ANCC FNP cer. and unfortunately, I also failed... Middle of my test, I knew that this is not what I expected.. There were a lot of health care delivery, communication, and role theory. Some of the questions, i really had NO clue at all what the questions saying. also, I've got many questions regarding like "if you have a patient with ..and refer or treat?" those kinds of questions... I am so so depressed now. I also have a waiting job which I really wish to work as FNP. Thankfully, the job told me that they will give me a second chance. I already submitted my AANP FNP application about 3 weeks ago. I am expected to receive the approval letter soon. Therefore, I am planning to take AANP FNP cert. in the middle of July. Is there any suggestion or recommendation for me?

Hi niralibp and jessarnp33, Thank you so much for your advice!! Honestly, I am really nervous and afraid to hear all those strange stories regarding ANCC!! Right now, I am think about to buy a ANCC practice online question back or not due to time frame. (I only left a week and half of days before the test). I am not sure that this might be a still worth it to buy it or not. However, If that would be a helpful for me to pass the exam(especially with the ethical and politics part), I will definitely^^ Thank you once again!!!! I hopefully I can post my comment with "yeah I am passed"^^*
