  1. Hello BrightLPN, OMG I am currently a double major (Nursing & Psychology) at my school. I believe I will be dropped from my BSN program after I retake the HESI, which I don't believe I'll pass. I never thought about getting my BSN as a second degree like you did. Was it hard getting into another BSN program? I keep hearing that most nursing programs will not accept you if you've already failed a program. I called this one school and they told me I can try but I most likely won't get it. My family keeps telling me that if I fail I should forget nursing and just focus on Psychology. I understand where their coming from. I've been doing this school thing for a while and have yet to finish. Apart of me feels that if I fail I should get my masters in Psych. However, I feel that I want to get my BSN. I don't know whether to just take the break, focus on Psych, then come back to nursing. Option 2. Keep going trying at the BSN and see where that gets me. Hopefully a school will take me on. OR Option 3. Just forget about BSN totally. I am so confused
  2. Hello olesya, I am in a similar situation. I am in a new BSN program in NJ. I currently have a 70.37% in Med-Surg 2. I have to retake the HESI in hopes of saving myself. Honestly, I don't believe I will pass. If I fail, then I will be kicked out of the program. I checked out the Adelphi school you mentioned and was wondering whether it was hard to get in. Unlike you, I didn't have the best grades in nursing. Rather Med-Surg 1 I barely passed and Med-Surg 2 is what I got the 70.37%. For the other nursing classes, I'm an A-B average. I am just worried that if I am dropped I won't be able to get into ANY other program. It's like no other program wants to give you a second chance. What is one to do? I don't want to do LPN because most of their jobs are being cut. Plus many hospitals are denying them clinical access. I am so confused. I feel like it's not the end of the world. However, no other program wants to give you a shot.
