  1. chemistry isnt so bad, but you do need to study at least a few minutes if not more per day. The math portion wasnt horrible, and at least in my class we only really focused on the math during the first half of the course. we had to memorize the abbreviations of the elements from the periodic table. i would also suggest printing out the periodic table to add notes on which are metals, non metals etc and also which groups they are in... that helped me when i was studying (I am a visual learner). Also check out youtube, their are some great videos that were very helpful when studying, especially on topics that I didnt understand fully during lecture. good luck, and just remember that this class is just a means to an end. You will do fine, and it will all be worth it in the end.
  2. As another poster said, it os a lot of formulas but excel makes it much much easier to compute. I just finished stats this summer....it was not easy but it wasnt nearly as bad as I thought it would have been. I am attaching a link that has a ton of excel templates that were super helpful when it came to homework. my prof also allowed us to use them during exams which was great. also you can download megastat for excel for free...it has just about every formula you would need. www.highered.mcgraw-hill.com/sites/0073373605/student_view0/excel_templates.html good luck!!
  3. so I had my interview and ended up getting into the university of colorado....my interview was really short but they asked the following questions: 1 what have you done to prepare for nursing school (financially, family, work, etc) 2 what traits do you find the most critical in a person ( respect, honor etc) and why 3 what are your interests outside of school i also had this question during an onsite essay (following the initial essay) why do you think communication is key to the medical profession all in all it wasnt as stressful as i thought it would be. just be honest and be yourself and you will do great.
  4. congrats on starting, I dont start until the end of august .....i'm excited and nervous at the same time! in regards to stats, I know how you feel. I waited until the completion of all other classes before I took stats because I knew it was going to suck. I just finished that class this summer....it was not easy but it wasnt nearly as bad as i thought it would have been.
