  1. GULP..my first bill was waiting for me when I finally was able to get my ID number and access my account..OUCH..I also was happy to see I was registered for 11 of the credits so far. I'm so excited for Monday!
  2. no problem, sending it now Nash.
  3. I talked to someone today and was told they would have all the scheduling by the 27th. Orientation day...That's not much time before classes start. I heard the lab wont start until week 2 and clinicals week 3, so it should just be the classes online week 1 and week 2 classes and the one lab (sat). That gives us a few more weeks to work out the schedule around clinicals. Welcome Nasha, How many hours are you guys working? I'm not working, but I have young children so I think that counts as a fulltime job:) Thankfully I have a great childcare provider that will have them during the week so I can do my online work and clinicals. It's happening so fast!!! I can't wait!
  4. Hi Deanna Claire, welcome and congrats!!! Im ordering my books now so I will have them on time. I will send you the book list now. I am anxious that I dont have a schedule, I'm trying to set up multiple schedules that will revolve around my schedule.
  5. I'm getting my clinical clearance stuff completed and I am wondering what the CORI training is? I filled out the form, but what's the class that the acceptance packet talks about? Did anyone do this or know of this? Thanks
  6. No she didn't say. I may email her and ask as I wasn't at the orientation. We should also all try to do a study group once we know our schedules. I would love to have a group to bounce things off of. Do we know what time our tests will be on Wednesdays and if it is every wednesday?
  7. Itcwall, I am going to order the ones on the second page tomorrow. I had to email them because the link wasnt bringing up the books. ********said they fixed it and it should work now. The second part, I am unsure what it is. I just plan to order one of them as it indicates we don't need both. I think I will try to order everything from the first page, just so I am not missing anything. Although, I can't find the dvd's on amazon that goes with some of the text books. I am hoping to find them somewhere else. I ordered my uniform and stethescope etc. yesterday. I just have to get some shoes for clinicals and order the lab bags and then I think I am allset. It's alot!!!
  8. Also, my list isnt lining up with the ISBN's. Is it the pathophysiology book that is reserved one site or Mosby's guide to physical exams? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
  9. Thanks Itcwall, Im working on deciphering the list into what we need and what is recommended. I don't want to end up not having material that I need, but I also don't want to buy something we wont use. Did you just get everything on the list?
  10. Where did you all order your books from? The bookstore or amazon?
  11. Anyone from Maine/NH attending?
  12. cc1031, congrats. I got a late start too. You earn a BSN and can opt out at that point or continue on for your masters after you work in the field for a specified amount of time. Do you live in the area or will you have to move in just a few weeks? And I just saw the other comments when my screen refreshed so I see you will be traveling. I'm traveling from southern Maine a few days a week and will be taking the amtrak to boston for labs/clinicals. It's cheaper than gas and tolls plus I can do my homework/study on the train as they have WIFI.
  13. Hi Stefaniemary4, thanks for all the great info. Can you clarify the "if you need to take the research class" comment. Are they accepting transfer credits from classes taken that are similar? Thanks so much!
  14. I did it, I sent in my acceptance!!! I have never been more excited and terrified at the same time. Itcwall or CM401, where did you find the list of books we need to buy? Is there someone in particular from staff that you speak to in regards to registration for classes or any questions you have? I haven't received a ton of info yet so I am trying to piece things together quickly. When you were sized for uniforms at orientation, did you think the size recommended for purchase was comprable to what you would purchase normally (do they run big or small)? I have to purchase without being sized so I am not sure what to expect.
  15. CM401-Thanks. Thats what I figured, but then the website seemed to indicate otherwise when it listed the programs individually by semester. That's alot in private loans...I guess there are always scholarship opportunities and loan forgiveness programs that I can apply for later.
  16. Is the tuition website accurate when it lists the per semester rate for the program as 13,600? I was thinking it would go by credits and the first one would be more as it is the heaviest credit wise. I can get discounts on the shoes and uniforms as my sisters are nurses and can get them through their work discount. I thought about deferring, but the info I received stated that you are not always granted deferment and you may have to reapply. That makes me nervous.
  17. How about the lab stuff and uniform? I know that you have to purchase the clothes from the uniform place in NH, but what about the shoes and the lab stuff? Can that stuff be bought elsewhere?
  18. Thanks itcwall, Im planning to attend the 27th, if I can figure out how to swing things financially. Its going to be tough because I have used up the majority of my undergrad student loans as I completed my associates and bachelors over the course of 10 years. They wont have a financial aid package for me before I am due to accept (8th), so I would be accepting with the hope that I could figure it out. My husband is the only income provider at this time and we have kids, so our budget is pretty set. I wish I had been given more time/notice so I could figure it out in more time than 1 week. I see the labs are different times and clinicals too? Do students get to select their times? What were the options? Im very excited and am really hoping to make this work. Does anyone know if the school is very giving/or not, in their help with financial aid?
  19. Thanks for the info, it helps in making my decision. The schedule for labs and clinicals work great for me. I'm really hoping I can pull this together to make it work.
  20. Oh wow, I was told that for financial aid purposes, it would be considered graduate student loans..Im so confused.
  21. CM401 For some reason, my last message didnt get posted to you. Sorry about your financial aid. I just spoke with someone in financial aid and am terrified. Did your student loans cover your bill? How much are the books for this semester? Obviously being accepted late, I wasnt planning on these costs so now I am unsure how to make it work financially. I'm so overwhelmed. How does everyone pay for this? I wont even get my financial aid package before I send in my deposit, so if it is unaffordable, I am out $600. Not sure what to do.
  22. OMG, so I was just accepted into the fall direct entry online..Better late than never, but now I am not sure how to afford it. How did financial aid work out for you guys? Im wondering if books will be able to be bought with financial aid or if it will come directly out of pocket. I have 4 weeks to get prepared and submit all the needed info. AHHHHHH
  23. Oh geez, now I'm not feeling too confident...I guess it could be the person who interviewed me..I'm trying to stay positive..Maybe I'll hear something today..
  24. itcwall-do you know if the other people who you mentioned were interviewing have heard anything? They said they would have a decision for me this week, but I heard nothing. I'm hoping they just got held up..Now I have another weekend to get through..weekends are the hardest....
  25. ok, no pop up yet..I'm contemplating calling them, but I am not sure that would get me anywhere. sigh...
