  1. I really want them for preventative purposes too. When I go shopping and walk around for several hours my legs start to hurt pretty bad. I can only imagine what it will be like on my shifts. I also would like to keep from having old lady legs when I'm 30! I will check out everything y'all have suggested. Thank you!
  2. Ok, I do NOT want to sound like an old lady.... but I am just about willing to do anything I can to get some support and relief. I want to know yall's opinion on some great support hose/socks/whatever. THANKS!
  3. It is really important that you retake the A&P II and get the A. I feel like having that B is fine. It really all depends on the school you are going to. If you are still at the beginning of your pre reqs, use this as a motivation to do better in future semesters so you don't have to worry. Good Luck!
  4. I am in!
  5. I am loving all of the suggestions!
  6. Thanks y'all! I will definitely check out the Danskos! I have seen the sketchers too. Still open to all suggestions! :)
  7. I think you need to stay at the four-year. I am in the same boat. I just finished my sophmore year at a four-year and am starting nursing school in August. I do not have scholarship, can't afford to pay out of pocket, and am only getting loans. Just as a personal opinion, I am okay with racking up the loans to stay here. To me, it will be worth it. Here in Alabama, specifically the Birmingham area, it is becoming extremely difficult to find work as a nurse without your BSN. Some hospitals will not interview you unless you have a Bachelors. I don't know if that is also happening in your area, but it influenced me to stay here so that I can finish faster and have a Bachelors degree in the end. It will be MUCH MUCH easier to find work with your Bachelors degree. Also, I don't know how good of a nursing school your University has, but most of the nurses here get a job out of their preceptorship and the others usually have jobs within a month of graduation. I do not know the cost of your university, but sticking it out at a four-year is worth it to me.
  8. Hi all! I need to buy a pair of white nursing shoes. I am new to nursing and don't know which brands are good, durable, comfortable, etc. I was hoping y'all could help me out! Please share your opinions on the shoes you love!
  9. I hate that! Good luck though! When did you get your letter? Still have not gotten mine.
  10. i also applied for the bsn program starting this fall. i know that they reviewed and made all admission decisions last thursday, may 24. so we should be expecting admissions letters probably at the end of next week! (june 6-8) just as a guess. @hm-8404 i hope you get in!
