  1. The Ursuline College nurse anesthesia program is pending COA approval. Has anyone applied or interviewed? What are your thoughts on attending a brand new program?
  2. Has anyone graduated from this program recently? How was your experience? I've read mixed reviews from other sources. Are the instructors available/responsive to questions? Is the work load manageable working full time? What is a typical week like (discussions, papers, group assignments, etc.)? Do you feel it was worth the effort? Any information is appreciated.
  3. I posted on this topic back in 2012 when I was considering a career in nursing. Since then, I've worked as a paralegal (majority female profession), lived in Europe and am now a nursing student. I have yet to experience being treated differently due to my sexual orientation. Maybe the reason is because I don't broadcast it or introduce myself with that disclaimer. Do I feel that it is the patient's business to know who I share my bed with-- no. Do I go out of my way to hide it-- no. I try to be myself in all I do and do the best that I can. How you want to handle yourself in the workplace is up to you, but you also need to be just as ready to accept the consequences. I don't feel that it is right to treat a person differently for being themselves, but it happens. That's a part of life and as adults, learn to deal with it.
  4. No, I haven't heard anything
  5. Has anyone that was waitlisted received an acceptance or contacted the school to see if they have sent out any acceptances?
  6. Did you receive a letter or email?
  7. Congratulations on your acceptance to Emory! Did you receive an email or physical letter?
  8. When did you find out you were accepted and which program?
  9. I haven't heard anything and it's nerve racking
  10. If I don't get in this time, it's Perimeter College for an associate's
  11. It is part of the background check. When you sign up for your student advantage account, you can select a place to take it at that time. The place I selected was an urgent care and I just walked in. It was a urine test for 11 substances.
  12. I haven't heard about a list, but 3 students who have been accepted told us here
  13. We're all in the same boat. Positive thoughts-- let's all meet for a drink or 5 after we get in lol
  14. I never shared: 3.5 program, 3.88 science, 82 TEAS. What about you?
  15. Congratulations on your acceptances. I'm still waiting, hoping for the best. My birthday is right around the corner. What a gift this would be lol
  16. The decisions go out sooner for Spring because there isn't much time before the program starts in January. They have to allow time for students to get the background check, immunizations, order uniforms/skill packs, etc. I expect it to be around Thanksgiving.
  17. I received that email as well. An email was sent to most, if not all students who had expressed interest in the nursing program during the Fall as well. We hoped that it meant we had been accepted lol
  18. Hello everyone. I noticed a forum hasn't been started for the Spring 2019 ACE cohort. Who else has applied? The deadline isn't until October 1st. I did not make the cut for Fall, so this will be my second and final time applying. Who else has applied? ACE or traditional? Let's keep each other informed.
  19. Log into Facebook | Facebook For those accepted and pending decisions to the 2018-2019 GSU ACE cohort
  20. Hi everyone. I am in the same boat-- anxiously waiting to hear back. Thinking positively, I started a Facebook group. It is geared more toward the ACE track. Feel free to join and good luck! Log into Facebook | Facebook
  21. I checked my PAWS account today and I received my financial aid award. Still no decision on the program. Have others received their financial aid?
  22. Still no word, but I have a question. Are you all going through the process needed for the university itself? I've done the online orientation (as a transfer), I set up my email and PAWS account. All the things an accepted student does-- but I haven't been accepted to the nursing program yet. I haven't completed the intent to enroll either. Uugghhhhh
