You should be careful and check the individual state school to determine their policy. In Iowa as an undergraduate a few years ago if you start as an out of state student you cannot gain in state status while you are in school. I guess they assume that you are only in the state to go to school. there is usually a definition of in state status somewhere in the literature for the school admission policy. I am finishing my AD in June and am wondering where I can get the Quickest online BSN. I will be starting work in May. I have a BS and Masters in Political Science and a JD (from my previous life) so I probably have all the prequisites and upper level electives. I assume I only need the Nursing courses, but I feel that a school might want me to take extra courses in order to collect more tuition. I am in my late thirties and don't want to take additional classes just to add to the 200 plus hours I already have. Is there a school out there that can accomodate this odd situation? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for any help.
