Hi, the C won't count you out. What are you other grades? I know someone with a C in bio 2114 and got in. I'm really not sure what teas score will get in bc the national average other test is much lower than the NLN.

I would probably ask how many cohorts they have a year, what entrance exam they use and what are the average scores of those who get in, how many people get in each time, what classes do they consider competitive, and is there any way to increase your chances (points for taking Ll your pre reqs there, or points for high grades). Also I would find out how many times you're allowed to take the entrance exam. Just my two cents :)

I applied at two schools. I got a skiny letter from one school, and it was a denial. I missed it by just a few points. I cried for a few minutes and decided there would be no more tears. A few weeks later I knew what day the second schools letter was coming and I was stalking the mail man. I was 95% sure I wasn't getting in, because I made a 92 on the entrance exam and had heard a rumor that you don't get in unless you make 94 or higher. Well me letter was thick. I opened it in the driveway and read the first sentence!! I screamed and ran inside to tell my husband!! I got the letter in July and I start in January. I'm beyond excited but now that its getting closer I am so scared/nervous!

That's is a great goal. Don't be down on yourself if you don't get there. The national average for that exam is a 64.

Hi. Well it is hard to say what score you will need. I got in taking the NLN and now they are changing to the teas, which in my opinion, is way harder than the NLN. I made a 92 on the NLN and a 72 on the teas. I know another person who also got in with a 92 on the NLN and she had a's B's and a c. I had 5 b's and two a's.

Thanks for your reply. I am planning on buying 2 tops and 2-3 bottoms and one lab coat. Do you just wear a white T-shirt or tank top under your top? I am also trying to decide between stethoscopes. It's between the littman master classic or the littman cardiology 3. Everyone says the cardiology 3 is worth the money ($160). They say you can hear things other stethoscopes won't pick up.

@lorraineatl how many uniforms would you suggest buying? Can we just plain white pants anywhere or do we HAVE to use Meridys? I know I have to get the monogrammed school stuff there, just wondered if I could go try on some and get the best fitting ones. Also, do we need to wear the uniforms to camp knightingale?? Thanks!

Haha I'm not the only "driveway screamer" then? I just paid for my background check and drug screen today, and have an appointment scheduled for a physical. Are you taking any classes this fall?

Thank you! Well as for getting in at wgtc they are changing lots I stuff now. Now they are going to the TEAS exam. I took it for another school I applied to and it's much harder than the NLN so I'm not sure what scores will be accepted since its harder and it's their first cohort using it. Also they are now making applicants get their CNA certification first. Then you will need to take your general education core classes and the classes they look at for competitive selection which are: algebra 1111, psych 1101, A&P 1&2, & English 1101. Good luck.

Have you taken Psych 2103 Human Growth and Development? I was planning on taking it this Fall to get it out of the way but now they're saying financial aid won't pay for that until you are actually in the RN program. And it will cost me $436 out of pocket if I want to pay for it!!

Hey all,My name is Melissa and I'm very pleased to announce I was just accepted to West Georgia Tech's RN program starting January 2013(Lagrange campus). I was just wondering who else has been accepted! I was 90% sure I wasn't getting in, the that letter came! I have never been so thankful, excited, and nervous before!So for fall semester 2012 I will be taking all of my non-nursing classes to get them out of the way. I'm taking microbiology and lab, human growth and development psych, and American literature. I'm nervous about taking all of these but if I can buckle down for this semester and really focus it will be better for me when I start those nursing classes we've all heard horror stories about!! Did I mention I have a one and a half year old? Lord, help me!Sorry for the long post! Looking forward to "meeting" others who got in!
