  1. I am looking for good CRNA programs in the southeastern part of the US. Please give some input on reputable schools in this area and which ones will prepare me best for the future. Thanks. Smaller classes and a caring faculty are huge in my sight so please give insight on that aspect.
  2. Just out of curiosity. Does anyone think the CRNA specilty will change within the next 10 years? As in will it require a doctorate? Will there be a shortage/demand (or possibly too many requiring cuts)? Will the schooling extend to a longer period of time? ect...I think some input from some current CRNAs would be beneficial....Thanks Had a big conversation with a bunch of pre-nursing students regarding this topic. It would be nice to share some input and first hand experiences. Thank you guys.
  3. I applied too and am anxiously waiting. I heard it takes a while before they get back to the applicants. Good luck to you and let me know how you do...
  4. I am interested in hearing some stories of nurses who participated in disaster relief. Were you trained for the situation? After you story, please give some insight on how you think nurses and the community can better prepare for disasters.
  5. I just working in the NICU as a new graduate and am extremely excited. I do plan to eventually go to school to further my education, whether that be CRNA or NP for a particular field. There was, however, a travel nurse who decided to state his opinion on my new position. He stated that it would not prepare me for advance nursing schooling like a surgical ICU would because of the fluid balance and administration in those units (for instance: fresh hearts). Any insight from the fellow experienced NICU nurses on whether this will prepare me? To clear up a few things... I dont care what this man said. Regardless I am working this unit and already love what I have been exposed to the last three weeks.
