no, heard some on 24th , Richmond is largest group with interviews about 30 min each looks like they interview 6-8 applicants daily

Hey guys...was just checking in...I see you guys posted a pic so I figured I'd do the same. Would be nice to stay in touch, never know when we may see each other in the future. I don't have a facebook page but now that you mentioned it, I may start one with no last name...to keep it private. My classmates @ NOVA just created a facebook page for our new class...I really wish you guys all the best. :)

wow MG0907...I didn't get anymore emails outside of the two telling me it's been forwarding to the nursing department for consideration...Did anyone else receive emails from the nursing division? My understanding was that letters would start going out on June 11th...will they be sending acceptance letters via email as well?

Does anybody know when or how we will hear as to whether or not we've been accepted into this program. Will it be by email or mail? With them already having accepted a bulk of the students I figured we would hear back pretty quickly. Does anyone have any updates???

Oh WOW....only 12 spots before?!?!? I'm really glad they have more than 12 spots now but my goodness that statement is starting to make me a little nervous. I went to the information session on May 7th and there were at least 45-50 people there...with the new extended deadline the application pool has really increased b/c a lot of students (including me) were finishing up the last of pre-reqs this past spring semester. This application process will most likely be very very competitive. Hey lav42788...when you went to the April 12th info session did they mention they had already accepted students into the traditional nursing track for the Fall 2012 semester?

Hey Aprilslife1...I'm with you on the wait...it's gonna seem like forever. So have you applied anywhere else outside of JSR? Good job on your Kaplan scores & GPA...do you have any previous degrees?

FYI...just took a look @ the letter again...it says mandatory orientation is set for July 27th

Hey Everybody! I was curious to know if anyone else applied to the JSR RN program for the Fall 2012. Would you be willing to post your stats??? (GPA, Kaplan scores, etc). I feel very blessed b/c I orginally thought I'd missed the deadline but one evening while I was surfing the web I saw where JSR had extended their deadline...I was able to make it to the last information session, May 7th...and I took the Kaplan test all on the same day (Passed!) and applied to the program the following week. My stats are a 3.8 GPA, 89% Math and 86% Reading (ran out of time)...not the greatest scores but I can't complain...I had no time to study before taking the test...oh yeah and a pre-req GPA of 3.5 (receive B's in my A&P courses and a 'C' in ENG 111) with no previous degree. Anyone else out there on the waiting train to hear back from JSR nursing dept???

Good luck on the Kaplan test...I didn't find it that difficult compared to the TEAS V I had to take @ NVCC. I've applied for the Fall 2012 RN program as well...my first choice is NVCC b/c I'm already living up this way but we'll see what happens. Good luck to everyone!

Hey LPN-RN2012....I sent in my application on May 2nd and received the letter around the 7th or 8th...I live pretty close to the MEC campus so that may explain why I receive the letter so fast. I applied for the RN program so I'm not sure if the orientation dates are the same. I'm sure you'll receive a letter in the mail sometime next week letting you know more about preparing for the orientation.

Hey...I got that email too...I also received a letter in the mail last week advising that they had received my application and if accepted into the program make sure to have July 25th available for mandatory orientation.

I'm not in a nursing program yet..but my desires are much like yours TxSunflower. I've done some volunteer work at my local hospital in the family-center nursery and ask various nurses and staff how do you get into NICU...I was advised to look into Nurse Residency programs that will train you for NICU work...those are my plans once I complete nursing school. Good Luck on your career...really hope you get the field your most passionate about.

Hey LPN-RN2012 From what I heard it takes about 4 weeks to review all applicants...nursing dept advised they send out all letters at the same time (whether accepted or not). I'm right along with you on the crazy, anxious feeling...its gonna be a rocky summer to start. Hey TrulyBlessed & KH8911...I've signed up for HLT-250 this summer as well...see ya in class :)

Hey Everybody...this wait is driving me crazzzzy I heard the nursing dept ranks on a points system for GPA, TEAS score & whether or not you already have a degree of some sort. I guess that's a good thing b/c if you lack a high gpa you can make up for it in the TEAS test. Anyways my stats are 3.8 GPA, all co-reqs completed except HLT 250 & an 85% average on the TEAS V. I was wondering what everyone thought about the new TEAS V version...I found it a little more difficult than the TEAS IV when I have to go back to retake a couple of sections. Any thoughts? By the way I'm not to worried abt the Momentum 2+1 being cancelled b/c students typically applying to that program haven't completed most of the pre-reqs required for the traditional so I don't thk we have much to worry about...hoping it gives us more seats in the traditional track this year though

Hey everybody,...I just submit my application for the Fall 2012 traditional nursing program. I'm sooooo nervous...right along with the rest of you. I struggled on the new TEAS test but was blessed by GOD to pass on my final try (only get 3 chances). I really really really hope and pray I get in this semester...I've taken all the required pre-reqs and only have HLT 250 Pharmalogy (which I'm taking this summer) outside of the nursing courses. Best wishes and prayers for everyone...lets keep everyone posted.
