  1. Hi! I used nursingnetwork.com and made a post. Someone reached out to me. I may have had to pay but it was worth it. Also try Northwell. https://professionals.northwell.edu/departments/nursing/institute-for-nursing/clinical-placement. There's also an email on that page. Good luck! Theres a search for preceptor directory on nursingnetwork.
  2. Hi. I'm in search of a preceptor for my MSN Leadership for February 2021. This experience is non-clinical and will consist of 150 non-clinical hours alongside a qualified preceptor. My preceptor will need to be a Master’s prepared nurse with two years of leadership experience, including employee and budgetary oversight within their current role. Please let me know if you know of any resources in the NYC, Long Island area. Thank you
  3. I just recently had interview and waiting to hear back. I think the holidays has pushed everything back. In my experiences, a tour of the facility/unit, usually means they're highly interested/got it. You'll probably hear by this week.
  4. You need to use every contact connection you made as an assistant. Every email, every phone number, any friend that can connect you and pass your resume along. It's who you know these days. Seems like you have many connections at your old job.
  5. hi all. Been awhile since I saw my original post, to those reading this now, December 2017, it took 4 months total to receive my CA license by endorsement.
  6. is this really the pay? any updates on fresno salary?
  7. you get it anywhere. the fingerprint place has it too. california sent me theres, any my NY fingerprinting spot gave me an extra. its the same.
  8. they do. it took about 2 weeks for me back in september.
  9. thanks for sharing your story. I sent in all my paperwork with fingerprints on December 18. They cashed my check on february 2, and made my breeze account on february 1. just waiting…. the website says 10-12 weeks to process… i think it starts from the day they cash the check. i haven't called yet to check on my status. good luck to us
  10. have u had any luck finding a job? im looking to move to SF from NY in July.
  11. From NY, I sent in all my packet of paperwork with the fingerprint cards on Dec 18. They just cashed my check on Feb 3… patiently waiting.
  12. We have all heard how lengthy the California licensing by endorsement can be. I haven't found any new updated threads on this. What's your experience been in the California license by endorsement process?… I'm from NY and sent in my license for endorsement a month ago, which was the middle of December 2015. I think I'm looking at another 3 months from now. I didn't apply for the temporary license. They haven't cashed my check yet. What's your status and how's the process going for you? Thanks.
  13. How long do we wait before we can write it off as a no-go? With them not answering e-mails or phonecalls? What's your personal experiences?
  14. Not sure if anyone is still following this thread. I had an interview with nurse manager on Tuesday this week. It was really short but I did my senior preceptorship there on her floor so she knew me. She said I would hear by today. Waiting anxiously. Anybody else wait to hear back for an offer? How long did you wait? Thanks!
  15. Thanks for your reply and kind words!! I've been biting my nails and thinking about it constantly. I did said a thank you letter card through snail mail. Great to hear about your job offer !!! congrats and good luck. :)
  16. I had interview with nurse manager that was 10 minutes long. I already knew her and she knew who I was because i did my senior preceptorship there. She asked basic easy nursing interview questions. None of the "what would you do" or "tell me a time when". She said I would hear by the end of the week. Do you think this was good or bad? I was not nervous at all, it went pretty fine. She remembered me and brought up how I knew this and that of the unit and how is hiring a few people. I'm anxious to know!
  17. Passed! Congrats !!!!! Partyyyy
  18. Is it passing meds? Or sitting in on groups? My psych rotation was on a locked unit and only passed meds. Nurses didnt do anything else really. But I was there 3-11.
  19. Now they offered me days as a float. So it's either nights on the child adolescent unit or days as a float. I'm not sure how I feel about either being a new grad.
  20. So they called yesterday to offer me nights on child unit. I asked of there was any days open on any unit. She said she would find out and call me back. What do u think? Know anything about the child adolescent unit?
  21. Thanks for the advice. I will have to see what they have available I guess.
  22. Don't know the exact hourly rate. I wasn't offered anything yet. First interview only told me the day vs night shift salary for new grad. They did call my current boss today for employment verification so I wonder if they will offer me. Do you still work there?
  23. You mentioned you like working there. Did you feel it was an appropriate length orientation? Do you feel safe there? I assume you work days
  24. Hey. I didn't get hired yet. They said they have a night shift available. I was open to night or days. Pay for nights I believe is $66k/yr rather than days $61/yr
  25. Had second interview today. Went fine. Said HR may call for a night shift. Will see.
