  1. @jepa0195 Thank you! I got 3E (the floor I did my extern program and immersion) on day shift!
  2. Just received a call about 15 minutes ago with an offer 😭😭😭😭 I am so happy right now! Keep your phones close and on loud!
  3. From what i remember from the extern program, it is just that one question. Later on when they officially extend the offer, you'll have to fill out more extensive info for background check purposes. This email is a good sign! Received mine as well today ☺️ Good luck to everyone else, they don't send them all out at once so be on the look out still!
  4. @Jmlr Hi there! I was told that next week will be the last week that they'll be conducting interviews before picking individuals. If you don't receive a phone call or interview keep in mind that the application will be opening again in March!
  5. @purplepixie congratulations!
  6. In the past, calls have been offered over days-weeks so it's definitely a possibility. Good luck!
  7. @kknurse123 I can't say for sure, but I believe they hire around 30 people.
  8. I received a voicemail about 1/2 a hour ago for an interview!!
  9. I have a feeling that calls for interviews will begin to go out next week and continue to for a couple of weeks after that. Hoping for all of us!
  10. @purplepixie It was great! It was a full time 8 week program so I did three 12 hour shifts with a preceptor each week on the floor I was offered. I learned tons and got really comfortable with the dynamics of the unit.
  11. Yes it definitely helps with the waiting period which is honestly the worst part for me. I've done a couple of clinicals here including my immersion which I'm currently in. I also did the nurse extern program that they offered during the summer.
  12. Wow that's exciting! Did they offer you an interview? You've gotta let us know how it goes if so ☺️
  13. From the looks of it, they update people's applications and offer interviews over a period of days so hopefully here soon they'll update yours! Have you done any clinicals or anything like that there?
  14. Hey! I applied to all 3 positions (ED/critical care/Med-surg) and the status is "in review" for each. I received an email saying that my med-surg application was sent to the hiring manager for review. Fingers crossed we hear something about interviews within the next week.
  15. So for anyone curious, I gave a call to Mayo and inquired about the whole receiving a background check email but not receiving a call following it. She checked up on it and informed me that I should be getting an offer extended to me this upcoming week along with more details. I hope this goes for everyone else who also received the BG check email and had extreme anxiety like me lol Hoping for more calls this week!
  16. Congrats!! Did you get info on your floor/shift? I'm currently dying of anxiousness.
  17. Just got an email for a background check from Mayo 😊😊 From the looks of it, I think that means I got in!
  18. I also worked. I think it's definitely doable! Especially just 1 day. Then again, both Egaddy and I have discovered that not working while doing the program would give much more time for studying and focusing on getting great grades. It definitely depends on you and your time management skills :)
  19. Also, I was told that this week we should all be getting more information about other requirements and so on, so keep an eye out for that in your emails!
  20. Yes, I got a call this afternoon that I got in! I was and am so excited. See you all at the Junior 1 meeting!
  21. I was placed on the alternate list for Traditional. I'm super happy I didn't get denied but also upset I didn't get provisional. Here's to another glorious wait of wondering if I'll get eventual/actual acceptance i guess. (My advancement score was 1.753 btw). Congratulations to everyone who did get in though!!! I know the process and wait were brutal, I'm super excited for everyone!
  22. Hey guys! If we're lucky, we may find out a week from tomorrow (on Nov 2). At least that's what I'm hoping for! I'm so nervous. Best of luck to everyone!
  23. Also, I was told about a dozen of those 153 traditional applicants applied to the post bacc program as well. So if those applicants get admitted and decide to start that program, that leaves about 140 applicants for the traditional program with 60 spots. Good luck everyone! Hopefully decision time arrives quickly!
  24. Yeah, there are less spots in the spring than in summer/fall, but that's usually because there are a lot less applicants. Are you applying for the traditional program or the post bacc? You're definitely in good standing for both! Good job :)
  25. Hey guys! So I took my TEAS test today and got a 81.3% which was lower than I wanted. I think this was a result of not being able to finish a section, as I took much longer on it than anticipated. Anyways, my TEAS score + my GPA makes my advancement score 1.75. I hope this cohort is like last year's and they accept at least a 1.73, because I'd be good to go lol What were everyone else's scores? Tomorrow's the deadline! I can't believe it's here already.
