  1. You have 2 choices take the NCLEX or don't. You have nothing to lose by going for it! One step at a time. Take the first step and pass the NCLEX. Then worry about the next step. One day at a time! Then, its up to you. You could work per diem to see if you like the staff at different facilities, and if you do, then persue more hours. If not move on and try another place.
  2. Katelyn I just passed my RN boards, I attended Excelsior. Don't look at the big picture it is too overwhelming to do yourself. It is just one class. It took me about 5 years. I took summers and holidays off. Having 3 children and working full time managing a 60 bed unit, I had my plate full before I started. I wanted to do it though. So, I would say I am taking this one class. Before, I knew it a few were done. Just stay focused on the one class theory. It works! When all is said and done, I have no idea how I did it but I did one class at a time, you can do it. The end result is so worth it. Loving my increase in salary. You will too
  3. I finished my NCLEX, walked out the door and was logging into the Pearson website. It was that quick. As long as it says, delivery successful. You can do it!
  4. Take a break. I had alot going on in my family. Was scheduled for the nclex rn on 4/28/12. Though about cancelling could not study the way I had intended. Took HESI could not get a score above 60. Decided I had 2 choices one to cancel and reschedule. Next available test was in 36 days or go for it. I decided to go for it. Everyone at work knew I was scheduled so I did it. Walked out of the test center got on the internet on my phone and GOOD POP UP! Now just waiting and waiting. It was only yesterday but seems like forever. I have checked using the pearson vue trick like 10 times, and it is still good.
