New Grad looking to move to SF area
Hello, I will graduate with my BSN in mid December. My fiancé is in the early stages of conversation with a company in SF. We are in Denver, so this would be a big move. I a curious to know what the job situation looks like in the SF area for new grads. We don't plan on living in the city and understand the commute will be awful and the cost of living will still be ridiculous. I am most interested in knowing how easy or difficult finding a job may be. Thanks in advance for any insight.

MSU Denver ANO Program
Hey! yeah, I graduated from metro with my first undergrad degree in 2009. I am going to apply for 2015. I confirmed with them that the only 2 sections of the Hesi A2 they test is reading comprehension and math. Ive taken the exam before, it's not bad. The math section is not bad at all if you know how to use a calculator as one is provided. Will you be applying this year as well?

Does anyone know which sections of the HESI A2 MSU Denver requires? I just want to know what sections to study for. Thanks.

Oh no Agarnarak, I just saw that info too. I agree, using those stats as part of the ranking process is not totally fair. Is there anyone who is currently enrolled in the program or has recently graduated that can tell us all a little bit about what to expect as well as where your clinical sites were? Thanks

What are some good nursing schools in Colrado?
Double check with DSN's clinical coordinator as to what sites they are securing for their clinical rotations. I heard recently they are mostly securing rotations at nursing homes which is a huge negative in my opinion. Do your research.

MSU Denver ANO Program
Hi SV007 and ashieb90, I just came across your guys' conversation and figured I would chime in. ashieb90 I'm in the same boat as you. I have a bachelors in Finance, so Ive just been working on finishing my pre-reqs these last few years so i can apply to nursing school. One thing to consider with the plan SV007 is suggesting, and SV007 this may help you as well, is that most CO hospitals will only hire a nurse who has their BSN b/c they are trying to achieve magnet status. Now with that being said, if you do still want to pursue your ADN bc of its affordability there is a program thru UCCS that will allow you to concurrently work thru your BSN coursework once youre already so far along in your ADN program so in theory you still graduate with a BSN it just may take a semester or so longer. Just a thought tho, hope this helps and Good Luck on your journey.

ah-ha haha I have never seen this site before. I put in all my info and it says there are no applications meeting the criteria I typed in. I only applied to one location so I'm assuming it was removed. I applied to OKC
