Im a Nursing Student at Glenville College in Glenville WV. I had a friend the other day tell me that nurses have to figure out medical related word problems. And I said; So your telling me that a doctor will send orders down and he will say here is the Meds im perscribing for the patient, there administerd based on the weight of the patient, but im not going tell you how much the patient weighs! You will have to create a equation to figure it out. And she tried to tell me in responce; Yes they do. thats nonsense. Just remember, as a Nurse you have the patients records, how much he or she weighs and everything. Doctors, contrary to what my friend asserted, do not send half ?%& orders.
