I applied to the residency program and I am from Connecticut. Clear across the country. From what i have read its a needle in a hay stack type shot to get picked for this so apply everywhere!!

Yes they make you go many days of clinical during the day my dads girlfriend graduated last year and her job was at wits end with all the days she had to miss. You go to aquaturf one day u have like 3 day clinicals in the first semester. Even though it is night mannyy things are during the day. I am working 40hrs cutting down to 24 in january. Hello thank you for so much info! I work at Yale in the MICU I have a BA in psychology from western ct state. I have worked in the ED and GI for 6 years. I have never done anything but working in medical. I am 26 with a 1 year old who just started sleeping through the night YEY!! I hope to meet all the springers at orientation :) good luck everyone!

Hello, I have been accepted for spring 2013. This was also my first time applying to the program. Anyone knOw how much the books are for first semester? I had no idea we were moving downtown I thought they were keeping the north haven campus !

Who else is in for GATEWAY??? I see not to many GWCC students with acceptance!

I know a lot of people who didnt get in are reading our conversation so I decided to chime in and say I was denied from southern this year for the accelerated program, wAitlisted at Bridgeport , and got into a respiratory program and gateway nursing. The moral of the story is don't put all your eggs in one basket if u didn't get in try 3 schools next time and work very hard because so many people want that seat . I hope everyone finds luck at any school god has a plan for all of us I was in the program at wcsu left because I was to young and stupid to realize how blessed I was. Now I have a beautiful son a husband and a great job it's my time to shine and all of u will find your time !

Mine was an acceptance letter from gateway I have a 3.72 GPA ... A- in AP1... and TEAS 61.9%.. I live in new haven

Did anyone from gateway see wait list during the glitch?

I applied to Naugatuck Valley in Waterbury very friendly they had the orientation women was really nice and helpful. From what I hear I better not expect that in the nursing program. The guy I work with said its brutle unless ur under the radar. They were so mean to him because he has his initials on his head and embarassed him in front of the class. He said they are really mean to older women asking them why they are there. I am glad im 25 not 45 bc its deffinetly a tough program. I am emotional as it is a year after having the baby I am going to go to school and shut my mouth.

Becasue gateway never sent my transcripts so I called the last day and they said my application was incomplete. So i called gateway got my transcript drove over and she said its a first come first serve basis. IDIOT I am to trust people to send things! When I called last week she said I would be getting my acceptance package in the mail. I said I was waitlisted she said not any more so now I am awaiting the arrival of 2 things and my respiratory packet of acceptance this weekend is all about weeding out my options

We live in lighthouse point but i am from east haven. Thanks ctstudent I wasnt sure on how it worked. I almost threw up when BHSN letter came lol I was like greatttt im a loser on a waitlist I wonder how much a seat would cost to be in the program.. :) .. If you didnt get it in east haven I am sure by friday we will no either way. But when I checked during that glich it didnt say anything no waitlist I figured with a 4.0 I would atleast be a waitlist canidate?

I know 440 applied but 200 were ineligible.. why would people apply if they didnt meet the criteria. One girl got a 53.2 on the teas she needed a 53.3 lol shes out ! Nef are you from east haven?

I am in New Haven and like i said before i have snail mail and it comes at 645 every night.. She will probibly forget my house because i am waiting for this letter. I have a friend who went to see the head of admissions at GWCC and she told him I am not saying sorry so thats a good thing... REALLY lol what the hell does that mean. I do not think I got in because wouldnt they change your major to nursing if you got in so you can register for classes?? Also CTDON that is crazy how you lost the seat because you didnt reply in time! At Bridgeport they gave me 6 days to reply.. Lets hope the letter gets to me in time or the mail women will keep it for her fridge.
