  1. Check these out. Really good price and comfortable. My aunt is a nurse and loves these. Nurse Mates Quantum Slip-Resistant White Women's Nursing Shoe # 243204 - Shoes - Womens - Work & Safety
  2. No grade posted yet...
  3. Now the waiting till the scores are posted! And studying for Pharm. Looking forward to the break!
  4. That's good to know...Taking my Process I final on Monday and then on to Process II.
  5. GMG RNThanks much for your advice and encouragement. It helps to hear it straight from someone who's been there. I'm hanging in there, studying like crazy for the Nursing Process I final next week. :)
  6. Thanks for the good wishes. But nursing school I can guarantee is nothing like any prep school. So good luck with your application and start reading ahead of the start of the semester. :)
  7. I have never, ever studied this hard. Still hanging in there, though. Lost some folks this week, unfortunately. Do they really have to make it so difficult...? It seems deliberate. I want to be a good skilled nurse, but some folks who didn't pass-barely- the written test would have been fine nurses, too. Maybe with a little less material or some targeted test reviews? Just saying...
  8. WHERE IS EVERYONE? How's it going for all of you?
  9. . Same here... Has anyone been able to access??
  10. Has anyone else been told that the bookstore won't sell you the complete package with all the books anymore because they are waiting for new editions for January semester? I was told that at Central's bookstore and was warned that if I bought the old edition used book to start reading, they wouldn't take it back once the new edition came out. Unbelievable....
  11. Looks like the Lab teachers have been assigned. Good luck all.
  12. You should meet with an advisor. It appears that CHM1032 is being replaced with a math course. And yes, Micro& Lab is a pre-req.
  13. It's nerve wracking but don't panic. Based on Jan 2013 admissions, you should be ok for admission with your GPA and Hesi scores. Good luck!
  14. What campus are you attending and why? Mostly due to shorter distance from home or another reason?
  15. Thanks sugarbianca. Any thoughts from others attending north or central?
  16. Now I'm stressing about which campus to go to Any specific pros/cons for each from you all would be so appreciated!
  17. I read somewhere (maybe on this blog) that you get a password of some kind at orientation in order to register. Does anyone know how that works? ALso, I checked the classes for winter semester and have a question. The schedule fo clinicals are as follows: Central campus - 6:30am - 7:00pm T W North campus - 6:30am - 2:00pm T W South campus - 6:30am - 6:30 pm T OR W Does anyone know how it actually works? That's a big difference in the # of hours so I can't believe it's right...
  18. Don't give up hope for January. There are always people who are unable to start due to finances or family obligations. The additional waiting must be awful but hang on. Maybe they can tell you if you call the office?Congrats to all in pre-admission. :)
  19. Congrats to all of you. :):):) Mine still says App in review. did your status just change? Maybe they are just starting to update them! So anxious....
  20. I can't believe they are going to use a different methodology than what they have posted on their own website. But what do I know???
  21. Sure hope so and that it comes with good news! :)
  22. My understanding was that the pre-health career core certifcate courses had to be completed BEFORE starting the nursing program, so I have completed all of them already. See below from the Q&A section of the Broward College nursing site. Pre-Health Career Core required certificate courses: Are required to be completed prior to starting the nursing program. Must be Florida Board of nursing approved and have a FBN Number. The Basic Life Support (CPR) must be American Heart of Association only. The HSC/CAE Courses preferred to be completed at Broward college. HSC 0691 Domestic Violence - 2 contact hrs HSC 0405 Basic Life Support (CPR) - 8 contact hours HSC 0522 TB / OSHA / HEPATITIS - 6 contact hrs HSC 0591 HIV/HIV/AIDS - 4 contact hours HSC 0692 Prevention of Medical Errors - 2 contact hrs I sure hope we find out this week! This waiting is soooooooo hard. 23. Yes, and they gave me 1 point for being a Broward resident. The whole thing is major messed up since I was told 2 weeks ago that the admission decision would be based on pre-req GPA and HESI score only. Not HOSA, not residency, not those points. So I go from being confident one minute to fearful the next...
  24. You should have 8 points for your GPA if you have a 3.24 for your pre-req classes. I think it's most likely an error. Anyway, many applicants who've posted on this board have a similar GPA to yours and what seems like high HESI scores. I'm hopeful that we will ALL get in, at least us on this board. :)
