  1. I just found out I got into the March 15 cohort! Tasha, how did you secure a VA collaboration? I would love to do this, even though I won't start clinicals until next year.
  2. If you are going to be in the Colorado Springs area, look at Parkview in Pueblo. They hire new grads.
  3. I'm looking into the online FNP program. Can you tell me anything about it? I'd love to hear how the classes are going.
  4. You can go ahead and apply without having completed all of the classes, as long as you have a plan to complete them. I am finishing my last 3 classes right now before the program starts. I don't know if the application is open yet, but it closes in Oct. I got my acceptance in Dec, and will be starting in May.
  5. I had most of the pre-reqs and clinical experience. My backgroud is basic science, research, so I am trying to shift to a more clinically oriented career.
  6. Awesome, thanks for setting that up! Have you started filling out all of the paperwork that they sent out?
  7. Just got my acceptance letter, :). Anyone else going to be with me this summer?
  8. Thank you for all the great info in this post. I am applying to an accelerated program after coming from a basic science research background. I want to stay in research, but add clinical care. It was so nice to see that this is an option.
  9. UCCS has a nursing program, also highly competitive.
  10. I spoke to the program director at CSU Pueblo, and she said that doing Prerecs at the community college is fine. Give her a call, or e-mail (she got back to me within a couple of days) to get the exact course equivalents, and PPCC offers most of the prerecs online, so you could start now. As for the waiting list, I'm not sure. I applied to the accelerated program, and they don't start reviewing applications until after the 1 October closing date, but I don't know if the same applies to the traditional program. I hope this helps, welcome to the community!
  11. I am a prospective colorado student looking for any recent information about the CSU-Pueblo program. Everything so far is a few years old. If you are a student or a graduate from either the accelerated or traditional program, I would love to hear your thoughts on the school, and any additional info that you may have. Thanks.
  12. Does anyone know if they do rolling admissions? I heard back from the school, now I am just waiting to hear from the nursing program itself. Any info would be great.
  13. I'm glad they re-considered, especially since the interview is a new step. Good luck to you!
  14. I too would like to hear some current info on the CSU pueblo program. Are your rotations just in Pueblo, or do you have sites all around southern Colorado? How do you feel about the program (education, job prospects)?
  15. So I'm guessing no interview invite/no acceptance? But I'm not sure because the interview was added well after the application deadline.
