Hey guys, I just wanted to know what people's opinions were on commuting. I've been accepted to York and UofT accelerated programs, but I'm having quite a hard time trying to decide whether I should commute or not. Its pretty expensive to live downtown toronto, but commuting from mississauga would take me about an hour and a half everyday, each way. I would also have to use a combo of driving, bus, and subway... which is really annoying... the commute to york is a bit easier for me, its just one GO bus. but is it really do-able considering the compressed intense schedule? anybody know of people who are currently commuting and their thoughts on it?

I actually never check the UofT page lol, I heard through email :)

Hey everyone guess what?! I GOT ACCEPTED TO U OF T YESTERDAY FINALLY!!!!!!!!! I'm so thrilled! For those of you still waiting, don't give up hope!! I almost did too, considering I had 0/3 acceptances before yesterday... but I GOT IN !!! I think it was my supplementary app that got me in, because I still havent been accepted to York or Humber, which is only based on marks

congrats!! would you mind sharing your stats with those of us who are still waiting? :)

Not sure what the cutoff will be, but personally I have a B+ in final year, B cumulative. Not sure if that's competitive enough... I keep hearing different things :S

I contacted someone in the nursing department and asked about the 2nd entry program specifically. Did you call the general admissions office? I'm so worried and confused!!!

So I called York today, and they said that they actually already started giving out acceptances in February, and that the rest of the acceptances should be out by the end of April.... still waiting on mine.... would anyone who has already been accepted to York mind sharing their stats? (ie. final year GPA, cumulative GPA, how many prerequisites in progress, etc) Fingers crossed to hear something within these next 2 weeks....

thanks for letting us know! did they say why? I'm assuming they're waiting for final marks from winter term to come in?......
