  1. I'm in!!!! I am so excited! I really didn't expect to see a change when I opened MYUTh. My last name begins with a "W"...:)
  2. Gladiator_80- I'm in the same area, and I found a BLS CPR class in Clear Lake through the AHA website. It is from 9am - 12 on a sat morning. no price listed, but from what I've read it should be about $80.
  3. I had hold changes, and no green check for me yet:(
  4. Thanks for reminding me of that! I feel a little better. :) I'm at the end of the alphabet anyways!
  5. Stacymonique- I know how you feel! I went to UTHSC campus last fall after I was denied and personally asked them what I should work on to have a better chance of being accepted this semester. They told me my stats were wonderful, I was very competitive, and that there really wasn't anything else I could do because my stats were as good as it gets. They also said that they were not legally allowed to disclose the specific reasons for denial. I was told to definitely re-apply. I also applied to both UTMB & TWU this time around, and was accepted to both. Whatever they use to decide, it is totally hidden from us, and all you can do try again. BTW, no green check for me yet. I have a feeling I'll be getting a denial letter in the mail Monday. Congrats to everyone who has been accepted!!!:)
  6. Hemphia- does it say if you are in the traditional or the pacesetter program?
  7. No, you have to reapply. They did keep my Hesi scores on file, however. Although I had to ask via email for my scores to be applied to my new application.
  8. Congratulations Hemphia!!!:yelclap:
  9. No, I don't. Although as I remember it, last semester everyone had the CPR and Immunizations holds on their account. When the holds updated, they updated to include more that just the previous 2 ( or so I read here on AN) for those that were accepted. My worry is that the 2 hold's that are showing now are the 2 standard holds that were on everyone's account last semester. With the recent system maintenance, it could mean nothing. Or it could signify acceptance, who knows? I just do not think anyone should be discouraged yet if they don't have updated holds...Or go out and celebrate until they have a solid acceptance letter/ green check.
  10. encephalon7, the same here. Holds did not appear on the MYuth system until yesterday for me.
  11. @Krique39 .... I had 2 holds the entire application process for my previous application to the Spring 2012 semester on the old UTlink system. The were the CPR and Immunizations holds. They also never changed my application status. I can still log in on the old UTlink and it still says "pending a decision" for the spring 2012 semester.
  12. I was also accepted to both TWU & UTMB. Although I am waiting to hear from UTHSC before I make a final decision.
  13. @ GirlontheRuN ..... I think only the accelerated applicants have a solid acceptance/denial decision at his point. you were accepted to the May start accelerated program, correct? I really think that they will change the online status Sunday night/Monday morning. I applied last semester, and my status online never changed, and I received a denial letter on exactly Nov. 15th. AND my stats last semester were good- GPA-4.0 science GPA- 4.0 Hesi 89 C.T- 860 Also, last semester I had 2 holds on the UTLink system the whole time. My whole point here is that there seem to be no easy pattern to predict if you were accepted until you see the green check. With the new MYUTH system, who knows if the holds mean anything or not? So nobody should feel discouraged if they don't have holds yet. With that said, I wish that they would hurry up and let us know! Has anybody gotten any postal mail today yet?
  14. The standard holds in the old UTlink system were the CPR hold and Immunization hold. There were no holds listed on the new myuth (at least for me) before the system update. From reading previous semester threads, their holds changed to include 4 holds total when accepted. I'm hoping the 2 new holds are a positive sign, but honestly I'm thinking its just the maintenance/system update. I have both the new holds showing on my site, although my admission status continues to say complete, and my last begins with a W. Even though I'm trying not to get excited, my heart is thumping away! I'm going to check one last time, turn off my computer, put on my headphones and go for a nice long run to relieve some of this waiting stress! ...and you are right , this is craziness! :)
  15. I've just been accepted as well! So excited, i don't know how i will ever get to sleep tonight! Sending positive thought to all of those still waiting to hear. looking forward to meeting all my fellow classmates! :-)
  16. Does anyone know if the interview process is complete? I'm starting to wonder if I'll get an interview or not. I applied on time with a 3.9 GPA, 89 TEAS V, and I thought my personal statement was strong... I applied at UTHSC and TWU although UTMB was my first choice. really getting a little nervous and starting to wonder if i fell through a cyber crack while they were reviewing apps. I'll be rather devestated if i am denied without an interview! I've upped my running mileage quite a bit to help combat the stress, although i still can't stop checking my email! AND I run through the med center each day, so it doesnt really keep mind off all this waiting that well! Good luck to all that have completed the interview process!
