  1. Good luck you should call them I was a new grad and I started right in the ED. Didn't apply for the new grad program. I actually called the DON and she actually called me back I think she appreciated the effort.
  2. Try Lakeland Regional Medical Center if you wouldn't mind driving :) good luck
  3. PedsRn if you don't mind can you tell me what uniform requirements Cmc has for nurses like certain scrub colors. Thank you. :)
  4. Hello I would try to go to Polk if possible but if not don't worry you can get a job even if you have to attend a private school. I did and it was never an issue with me :)
  5. Misswoosie Congrats on your phone interview hope everything works out. Kinda stalled in my move right now just can't decide what's going to be best for me :)
  6. I'm really not picky with any of those things would love to be by the lake though. I would definitely consider a town home. My biggest concern would be safety. Which it sounds like the area is safe anyway. It's just me and my two kids :) I will have to look into the Cmc-Charlotte!!!
  7. First their lazy then their amazing. No possible way you worked in a ED and can use light work and ED in the same sentence.
  8. Exactly if anyone really worked in a real ED they would no that light work and someone leaving for lunch would be unrealistic. What if they call a trauma, stemi or stroke alert along with taking care of the yellow medicals, baker acts and drug seekers. ED doctors and nurses might seem short because we have a time frame to get patients in and out. As far as lazy you have never been in my ED. I work in the busiest ED in Florida and we are not gonna stand for lazy.
  9. You are so awesome ty so much for taking the time to help me. I think between 200-250,000 would be my budget right now. I looked online and it said they have a level one trauma center is that part of the Cmc in Charlotte?
  10. Ty so much It sounds Like a nice place to live looking forward to the change :) CMC northeast is that a trauma center? Also, do you know if they have a specific uniform color for the nurses? I'm sure living close to the lake would be amazing probably out of my budget though. Since its the hub of NASCAR do you find it to be really touristy. Sorry for all the questions. Just excited and a little afraid. I really appreciate your help :)
  11. Please let me know how that goes for you. Relocating soon and a little anxious. I think Cmc is where I would hope to apply with. I couldn't imagine not being in the ED or a Trauma Center :)
  12. I'm sorry I can't answer but just wanted to ask how do you like NC so far I live in FL and will be relocating soon!!!!!! I work at Lakeland Regional Medical Center in the ED.
  13. Anyone living and working in the Moorseville area? Looking to relocate soon just curious about the area, cost of living, best hospitals, etc. I'm a ED nurse and work at a level two trauma center at the moment.
  14. I've have been trying to find out the same thing about Carolina's medical center ED.
