  1. Hi, First of all, you're not alone. You might be surprised by how many people have struggled with EDs and self harm. With that said...I think it's important to remember that as a nurse, you will be responsible for human lives. If you're impaired and not taking proper care of yourself, your performance will suffer, and consequences will follow. This is absolutely inevitable. There's no way around this reality, no matter how deeply you believe that you'll be the exception to the rule. Please consider talking with a professional. You owe it to yourself, and to your future colleagues and patients if you choose to become a nurse. Wishing you the best ❤️
  2. I would definitely reapply. It’s also possible that they’re unable to make an exception because they’ve already extended the offer to candidate(s) further down the list. ? I think you should go for it. You’ll still be just as qualified. Regardless of outcome, remember that this happens to A LOT of new grads. And we all eventually bounce back.
  3. I’m guessing we’ll need to wait until after the holidays. Argh.
  4. Hang in there. Based on everyone’s posts, no one here has heard anything since Tuesday, and there’s still time ?
  5. Not yet. Also trying to keep in mind that responses/offers may not all go out today ?
  6. I was also told we’d hear back next week, since interviews are still being conducted this week. I’m curious to know how everyone else’s second interview went. I was interviewed by 2 panels - 3 nurse leads, then another group of 4 staff nurses. Did you all have the same experience?
  7. Congrats everyone! Wishing us all the best of luck ☺️ no matter what happens, keep going!
  8. Okay I’m glad I’m not the only one who heard that! For the sake of my sanity, I’m going to assume the whole process will be delayed. Pretty sure I’ll continue to check my email compulsively anyway ?
  9. First round interviews were from T. 11/15 - F. 11/18, and I was told we should hear from HR regarding second round interviews this week ? so nerve wracking! How did everyone feel about the first interview?
  10. As far as I know, ----------------------- is sending out all the emails herself, so it might take some time for everyone to hear back. I’m happy you’re staying positive; that’s not an easy thing to do through such a nerve wracking process! I really hope you hear good news soon ☺️ Please keep us posted!
  11. Thank you so much! I received the email yesterday at around 8:30pm. Are you still waiting for a response/update on admission status?
  12. Received my acceptance letter too! ?I’m so excited to meet everyone & get through this journey together!
  13. It looks like two applicants have confirmed acceptance, so we can’t know for sure who else has/hasn’t already received the call, or if all accepted students have heard back by now. There’s still time, but I definitely feel that anxiety! ?
  14. Congratulations! ☺️ Was the call from an unknown caller/number by any chance? I missed a call this morning and didn’t receive a voicemail - slightly concerned it may have been from CSULA ?
  15. As far as I understood from speaking with Dr. Hinoki a couple of weeks ago, we should hear back by March 27th. I anticipate we might not hear back before then, considering the amount of paperwork & interviews Dr. Hinoki handles herself. I’m not sure what the plan is for the program start date. As for orientation, my understanding is that modifications will be made in order to conform to social distancing standards while still ensuring that the next cohort is adequately oriented/informed. I am confident that Dr. Hinoki understands how nerve wracking this process can be, and wants to adhere to the schedule just as much as we do. The COVID-19 lockdown is leaving a lot of us restless, but hang in there, and good luck to everyone!! ☘️ We should be hearing back soon. ?
