  1. I have a hard time studying too! I, like you, had never had to do it. Until Micro and A and P that is. I find the more ways I put something into my brain, the better I learn it. I listen in lecture, read the book, write notes while I read and make flash cards on everything I can. The other thing that has helped me is to read before I get to lecture. I seem to understand everything the first time the teacher says it, even if I didn't understand it when I read it the night before. And of course study buddies! They seem to be the things that help the most.
  2. I also second (third?) getting your cpr done at Prism. The guy is really nice, and gets right to the point, no skipped material, no wasted time. Slynwilli, yes, it is too real now! I see all my scrubs and equipment all neatly stacked and I just can't wait to use them. I just really wish our books would come in! I just want to start already.
  3. Hey guys! First off, congrats on making it in! And to the alternates, I've got my fingers crossed for you! I'm glad there's so many of us on here. I already feel a little less nervous going in. :) Which is good because my head was spinning after orientation! I didn't think I'd ever be able to finish all the pre-progam stuff. I'm almost half way done now, which is a huge accomplishment for me because I'm the world's biggest procrastinator (trying to change my ways, lord help me) How's everyone else doing?
  4. From what I understand, the no drawsting rule has been changed. I love that we can have any scrubs for lab. I just wish they were cheaper. :) I want so many of them!!
  5. I walked out of the testing room KNOWING I failed. Turns out I didn't do to bad at all Program Type: ADN Adjusted Individual Total Score: 85.3 ATI Academic Preparedness Level: Advanced Mean - National: 64.3% Mean - Program: 64.9% Percentile Rank - National -95 Percentile Rank - Program - 96 Reading Adjusted Individual Score 88.1% Mathematics A.I.S. 83.3% Science A.I.S. 87.5% English and Language Usage A.I.S. 80.0%
  6. I'd like to get a head start on purchasing my books, scrubs, and various other items I need for the CSN RN program. However, I can't find the list online anywhere and when I called the school they told me just to wait until orientation. I figure the longer I can spread out spending all that money the better :) Can anyone give me some ideas of what I'm going to need? Scrub color, shoe specifications, stethoscope specs? I'd be greatly appreciative :redpinkhe
