  1. I don't want to make things hard for you, but if you really want an interesting career consider the Navy Reserve Nurse Corps. I was a combat engineer for 22 years and served with all types of units during the war and on varrious deployments and the only reason I became a nurse was because of the way the Navy nurses treated me during an extended stay
  2. In Fla all credits from an ASN received from a public college transfer directly to a BSN from a public University, which is nice since my hospital is paying for most of my classes.
  3. the majority of the male nurses where I work are in the 6' range and the patient's don't seem to mind at all. In fact at 6'2" and 200 pounds I thought I would stick out, but I pretty much look average around here.
  4. Aren't tears pretty close chemically to NS anyway? A nurse without emotions is probably burned out anyway. You can learn how to control your emotions and release them at the appropriate time. Most importantly of all not all emotions are negative and for every unpleasant experience there will always be that patient who recovers or overcomes or delivers to make you smile.
  5. wow the rationals and explanations in this thread are awesome. I hope I can carry them with me like a little voice in my head as I complete school. Thanks guys
