I got a phone call right now from PCC, and the lady asked if I wanted to attend their nursing program since I was "next" as their alternate. I'm already at ELAC's program, so I politely declined. Hopefully someone here gets that spot! :) Good luck guys!

I received an e-mail saying I'm an alternate. Does anyone know if it's possible for me to "give up" my alternate spot so it can go to someone else? I'm already done with my paperwork for the ELAC program that's starting in two weeks.. Thank you PCC for doing so though!

They seriously NEVER answer their phone, and they never call me back when I leave a voicemail. I guess for now "business-casual" would be a safe bet haha.

Dress code applies only to SVMC staff because they are being paid to attend the class; ELAC students just need to wear close-toed shoes, pants, and shirt (no tank tops/sleeveless, etc.). That's what I remember her telling another student and I when we were there... Hope that helps jonjon!

I am quite annoyed at the fact we have to go there to register IN PERSON. Oh well- suck it up, no complaints right? =P I'm in South San Gabriel- a few blocks down from ELAC!

I applied around Spring (May/June) 2011, and their applications hasn't been open since then.

@NurseDalee: Congratulations! I'm so happy for you :) It's a great feeling isn't it? Thanks to NurseDalee's notification, I called Rio Hondo right now (8am) and they told me letters for Generic ADN and LVN->RN went out, so they are able to tell you if you made it into the program or not. Unfortunately I wasn't, and the reason was that the top 50 students had really high points! Good luck everyone! :)

Checked my e-mail this morning, and saw an acceptance letter/e-mail from ELAC stating that I've been accepted for the Fall 2012 program. I didn't need coffee today! This e-mailed fueled me for the whole day (haha!) Anyone else out there? :)
