Hello everyone! I apologize for not adding the link I found to the post! I was up studying all night (I'm sure you all have been there) and was not all there :/ Anyways, for those of you who still care the website was: studyminion.com. A friend of mine mentioned it to me and I checked it out. The site seems to be fairly new but the content I needed was on there so that was nice. Any who, hope it helps all of you as much as it helped me! Good luck.

I stumbled upon this website when I was studying for my med-surg II final exam and it helped me get an A! I did not have much time to review and this was exactly what I was looking for. It has summary tables of the content I was studying as well as other supplemental material. Might be worth following!

No problem oyvey :) it's too bad you couldn't start the summer program at APU . Congratulations however! I am glad you have tasted the sweet taste of an acceptance! It is impressive that you were accepted even with some classes in progress you should be proud. I hope you get accepted for the fall cohort as well but either way things are looking up for you I can tell. Remember once you finish biochem you will be an even more competitive applicant try your best at an "A." Unfortunately my undergrad gpa isn't so hot so I decided not to apply to any other universities so instead I applied to a load of ADN programs an I am happy to say I got into some and waiting on others. I decided starting somewhere is better than being stuck in limbo even if I have to work from the very bottom up! I refuse to dwell in the past anymore. Good luck with this last course I hope you do great!

Hey everyone seems like not too many of us are left on this thread makes sense though. From someone who was an alternate last year I advise all of you to move on. I also received an alternate spot I accepted it but I know better. To me it was the same as a rejection letter. I advise you to move because it is hell waiting for a response from them and in my case it never came! The sooner you come to terms with the "no" the better. For those of you who got accepted anywhere else I advise you to take it an not look back odds are you just won't be accepted. Sorry to be so blunt but I wish last year someone would had bursted my bubble earlier. Good luck with any other options because an alternate from western is a dead end.

Hey BlueEyes thanks for your good thoughts I was genuinely sad when I heard your news.... Not fair but like you said it was a great lesson/ life experience. I too put all my eggs in this basket for the same reason but I am glad I applied to ADN programs this year because I am not planning on checking my email every second of the day for the next couple of months instead I will embrace this new path that has opened up for me. I am not sure if you decided to apply to ADN programs but either way I hope you have other options to purse in order to achieve our same goal. God bless you and good luck. I hope we have the chance to work together some day.

Hey everyone I got an alternate spot as well... I was an alternate last year as well... Frustrating a bit? Lol I would like to celebrate but I know better as many of you have mentioned already its going to be a looooooong wait. I hated it last year and I am not looking forward to it again. Like I said in another post I am still waiting to be rejected from last year I never received a letter so I just assumed when classes started that I wasn't selected lol... Frustrating? I am extremely happy to say that I got into all of the ADN programs I applied top. Might seem like a step back for someone with a bachelors but I don't see it that way like BlueEyes said a while ago we will all become NP's one day we just have to start somewhere! (Breath)....but anyways cheers to all of us alternates and for the rest of you " no news is definitely good news" I think....

Hey Alyssa I'm still not sure what to make of that I mean the lady said that most people don't go through the FNP even though most start off saying they want to. From my college experience I learned that a lot can happen throughout the years and things change so I just hope that this change is beneficial and doesn't just complicate things anymore! It would be nice to hear everyone's thoughts on this though!

Hey Marisapm I completely understand what your feeling! I hate that I check my email like every hour because I know it's still too early to hear back but I'm starting to think I enjoy the rush of checking an imagining an acceptance email! Hahaha I'm trying to enjoy the journey there. :)

Hey Ceci and wfapanchita thanks for the info I guess either they didn't interview many guys or not too many of us applied! Lol either way it doesn't matter to me Just hope that if I get accepted our cohort will be united and a positive influence on each other. By the looks of it all of you people seem great!

Hey Marisa I was also interviewed on the 20th. I was the only guy there. I wonder how many other guys applied this year? Last year there was at least five other guys on the same interview day as me. Any guys out there reading this? Lol

Hey everyone I remember last year we also thought they might be assigning interviews by last name but that proved wrong as soon as everyone with an interview started saying what letter their last name started with.

A million thanks BlueEyes I too wish you the best! I hardly post on here due to a lack of things to say but I truly enjoy reading your posts because not only are they informative but I can relate! You are going to make a great health care practitioner I can tell. Lets keep our fingers crossed for tomorrow although something tells me we might not hear about more interviews until next week... Any who it is nice to have someone that can relate!

Awesome thanks BE85! I agree a deadline is a deadline. This time around though I applied a week after the application opened hoping it would help me out but not looking too good so far haha :). This will probably be my last time applying and if i don't get in at least I will know I tried my best and it wasn't due to "timing" issues.

Hey rainkissedleaves I too applied to last years cohort. I was excited to have made it on the alternate list but I have been on alternate lists for other schools and programs and the wait is torture literally haha at this point I have also considered community colleges for ADN programs that is how bad I want to become a NP I just want to start already. Just want a shot you know?

Hey BlueEyes! I actually did not mention it in my personal statement. That is a great idea though wish I would have thought of it lol. But the truth is that I called and asked what I could change about my app and the answer I received was very vague. In fact, she seemed impressed that I had made it onto the alternate list. She also said that it was a matter of when I applied that affected me. I applied 2 weeks before the deadline... But your right I too feel like we deserve at least an interview :) veterans at this app stuff haha nice to see familiar names on the forum though!

Hey all! Do you guys think they take into consideration whether an applicant has been on their alternate list in previous years?
