You are not too old!!!! And when you start school you are going to see that you are really somewhere closer to the middle of the pack. But, regardless of that, what the nursing profession needs now, more than anything, are people who want to be nurses, in whatever capacity (CRNA, RN, NP, etc.). Nurses are a special breed and if you feel the calling to be a nurse and then a CRNA, more power to you. We, speaking for the nurses out there now, are glad to have anyone join our ranks...age is not a factor. (By the way, I'm 35 and in a Nurse Practitioner program and there are at least 10 people over 50 in my program!) GOOD LUCK!!!!
