Hi all, I am form California and hold a BSN from WGU. Spoke with an enrollment counselor at WaldenU, said they were accredited by CCNE, but am wondering why they are not on the approved NP list on the BRN website. Does an online school from out of state need to also be nationally certified (ANCC, AACN, AANP, PNCB, NCC) to be recognized as an approved program in CA? Anyone from WGU have problems getting accepted into Walden? Anyone get accepted without any work experience? Thank you all in advance!

Just a heads up, spoke to HR yesterday, they said now we don't even have to worry about filling out the questions again on our profile. She said they're just going off of the old applications anyway and there is not way to check the status of our apps anymore! Just have to wait patiently until June 15...

Ok guys I finally got through to HR and this is what he told me for medsurg applicants... All we have to do is go into the system and create a profile aka sign in and upload your resume. What they are going to do is they have all of our apps from the old system and they are just going to pair it with those of us who created and or updated our account profile with the new system ! So no need to reapply now, all we do is update or create our account profile! Hope that helps all of you who were concerned like I was!

Did anyone else apply to med/surg 4th fl previously? I just saw it's now posted again under the new app system, but its not the same job number 9020 that I had previously applied to (9023). Do you guys think I should just reapply to this one or wait longer to see if they post another med/surg 4th fl with the same job number as I applied to before. PS- I've tried calling HR and they don't pick up as I assume they're bombarded with calls all day today.

Yes, I applied to the RN residency med/surg 4th floor, and I just got off the phone with HR. She didn't really have an answer for me, but just said to keep checking back online to see if my unit i applied to gets reposted on the new system and if it does then I have to reapply! I'm guessing then i'll be able to see the status of my app again because as of now, theres no way to check the status of our apps! =(

I too applied for med/surg 4th fl! No status change yet, but their still accepting apps so im guessing it will be a while till we hear from them? graduated Jul '11 with BSN.

Still wondering if anyone out there can help us new grads gather an idea on what to expect from an interview with CHOC? Thanks in advanced =)
