DrBaroneDC... The Phoenix location is located at the University of Arizona's Biomedical Campus. From what I have been able to gather this currently the home to the U of A's medical school and is located in downtown Phoenix about a block or so away from Arizona State. For the most part I am worried about what this area is like.... nice, ghetto (for lack of better word) etc.? Also I hear Phoenix is a huge metropolitan area and traffic can get pretty terrible. What is the public transportation like? Koifish... I spoke with the academic advisor who made it sound like a switch between programs may be possible. But how am I suppose to know if this is something I want to do!? A class of 18 could be fantastic of terrible. The academic advisor told me to accept the Pheonix location but also email the office specialist that I would be interested in possibly changing to the Tucson program. However, I did as she said and I received an email back from the office specialist saying that I would have to deny the Phoenix location and than I would be put on the waitlist for Tucson (with no guarantee of getting in). For now I will just leave my acceptance to Phoenix alone but if I do decide that I want to battle it out for Tucson I will for sure be talking to the academic advisor instead. But what I was told was that they tried to only put students who had put Phoenix as their first choice into this program. I am also waiting to hear back from the University of Minnesota about their Master of Nursing program.
