Yes, I got the same email. I couldn't get my glasses on quick enough to try to read it. At least they are communicating with us.

Thank you for calling. I think my blood pressure dropped a few points after hearing that. I wonder if they will push back the interview dates as well. They aren't given us a lot of time to make travel plans if we wanted to interview in person.

I am also working on my patience. I do feel a bit better knowing that I'm not the only one that hasn't heard from the SON just yet. Hopefully this will be the week that they let us know!

I also thought that mid-June would be this week. Hopefully, they will get back to us next week.

Has anyone heard anything new? It is almost mid-June and I hope they send out word about interviews soon.

I looked today and they updated my account to show new information under financial aid. I now have tasks to complete the FAFSA and the SON financial aid application. Does anyone else see this?

I got the same email from Duke on Friday. It said that my application was complete and gave me a time line for the review process and interviews. I know that mid-June isn't too far away, but it still seems like a long time to wait. Hopefully the rest of you get some answers soon.

I finished my application on 4/30, but I sent in my transcripts earlier in the month. I have no idea when they will send out any new information, but I wish they would get the ball rolling!

I looked at the website this morning and they have removed the 'pending GRE scores' note from my to do list.

Maybe they update the status after they review the transcripts. Who knows. I do feel a bit better knowing that some one else has a pending status.

Is anyone else that applied exempt from the GRE? I am curious to know that the status is for your test scores. Does it still say they are pending?

I don't remember seeing that requirement for the AGACNP. I did have to take statistics for my undergrad, but it wasn't a special class. Maybe give them a call and ask them? They are very nice.

Good luck to both of you that applied. I hope to see some more AGACNP applicants pop up. Did either of you send your transcripts before you completed your application. I did and am worried they won't be attached to my application. I'm sure it is nothing to worry about, but I don't want any hiccups along the way.

Hello everyone! Has anyone else applied to the AGNP program at Duke for the Spring 2017? I think I am more nervous applying to grad school than I was when I sat for my NCLEX!

Hello! I am jumping on this thread since I don't see one for summer internships. I am starting an oncology internship on 7/10, but I came in pretty late and I don't know much about what I need or what to expect. I am hoping they send out more information soon. Do any of you have more information on what is happening or are we all in the same holding pattern?

Here is the note from the website. Since you know your test scores, you know if you made it in! "Testing for the Spring 2015 semester is completed. The tentative cutoff score for acceptance into the ADN program is 71%. Those with a score of 70% will be on the alternates list. The tentative cutoff score for acceptance into the Transition from LVN to ADN porgram is 71%. Acceptance letters will be mailed out by November 6th if possible. Please wait to receive your letter with instructions on how to proceed."

How did the tests go?

In case you guys don't already know, you need to keep a close eye on the "applying for the next class" page of the NCTC ADN Program page. That is where they post all of the updates as this process progresses. I'd imagine that within the next day or so, they will update the top of the page for your application period and start posting information about the Kaplan Exam. According to their blurb at the bottom, testing letters went out yesterday. Good luck! "All applicants will be notified by mail of their status. Letters are expected to be mailed by October 7th, if possible. We ask that students wait patiently for their letters. If the web site has posted that letters have gone out but you have not received your letter by October 13th, please contact the nursing office immediately. Top applicants will receive a letter stating when they are scheduled to take the pre-admission (Kaplan) exam."

Yes - you have to cover any tattoos that are visible while you are at a clinical facility. To prep for the Kaplan, you can use a HESI or TEAS study guide for the math, reading and writing portions and you need to get your hands on some NCLEX style questions to prepare for the "science" portion. There isn't a specific type of material that I can tell you to study, but you can get used to the set up of the questions and maybe find some tips on how to answer them. You guys obviously have some support here. Good luck and I hope you pass the Kaplan.

I'm a third semester student in the ADN program at NCTC and I wanted to say hello! Most hospitals do prefer a BSN, but will hire an ADN if there is an agreement made to complete a BSN within a certain time frame. It was already mentioned that there is a bridge program at NCTC and the current college partners are Tech, Midwestern and WGU. It will take you two years to complete your ADN and one year of online classes to finish off the BSN. Even though it takes an extra year it is SO MUCH CHEAPER than going to a four year college and the classes are much smaller. Anyways, I will be around to help answer questions where I can. I'm also going to try to get some of the other students involved. Good luck with your applications and get ready for the Kaplan! I hope to see you guys in the program.

Our patches are two inches down - they aren't going to take out a tape measure and measure it. Make sure your patch is on your left shoulder and the top of the patch should be at the three inch mark. If you are really really really concerned with the patches, take it to the Attach A Patch place in Gainesville. I think it's a dollar and the lady there has been doing the NCTC patches for years. She knows exactly where to put it.
