Torrance Memorial New Grad RN Versant August 2015
I have a panel interview scheduled this Tuesday. I know they had interviewed candidates on July 2nd as well. Does anyone know how many people they are hiring for this cohort? Thanks!

SFSU Fall 2012
@Iamgonnabeanurse- I called to verify. They said they will send out e-mails but she told me that my form got there anyway. @ Bzepeda- I have so many questions I don't even know where to begin :/ How were/are your classes this semester? Is there any way you can schedule your classes just MON-THURS?

Starting a thread for SDSU Spring 2013 Cohort
2 hour commute?! lol yeah definitely not! It will be nice to take GE's separate from the nursing classes. I didn't apply for campus housing so yes, looking for a roomie might be a tough one. Anyway, Thanks for the good news. That made my day :)

Starting a thread for SDSU Spring 2013 Cohort
same here. but if you think about it, there are plenty lurking at this thread. and fewer spring applicants means we have a better chance of getting in. hehe :) Anyway, spring grades are due june 30th, so i'm guessing we'll hear back from them late july-august. yikes. & then fall semester begins end of august. i wonder how that's all going to work out

Starting a thread for SDSU Spring 2013 Cohort
I called the SON. I always have a hard time reaching someone in the main admissions. I haven't heard from sdsu since november when I applied. lol

Starting a thread for SDSU Spring 2013 Cohort
yikes, i've seen that post too :/ doesn't sound good at all. wish the SoN would just tell us straight up if transfers will be able to make it in spring. Have you considered USD? Tuition will be higher, but they have a good nursing program too. You should check it out

Starting a thread for SDSU Spring 2013 Cohort
I have general bio and biochem in progress. Assuming I get A's in those classes, which I'm really hopeful for, I'd have 73 points. I did hear that spring is easier also, but with this whole transfer issue, I'm afraid we will be denied admissions just because we're transfers. I'm also 2 hours away from SD so I won't be given any priority. I did get into 2 bsn programs but i honestly would rather go to sdsu :)

Pcroizier- what do you have IP? & are you from the SD area?

SDSU Fall 2012 admission hopefuls
PCroizier- she was very "iffy" with me too, like she wasn't clear with her answers at all. If we're unable to attend sdsu in the fall, we're completely out of the picture. I know for a fact that they will not be admitting transfers in the spring. I'll try calling again- I want to start a new thread just for spring applicants...idk how though :/

SDSU Fall 2012 admission hopefuls
slu- i agree. we should get one started :) i have so many questions about spring & what the deal is for us. @ Spiffy- I'm planning on going to sfsu....for now.

SDSU Fall 2012 admission hopefuls
Spiffy- sounds a little fishy to me. I'd investigate & see what went wrong! Seriously..that's unfair. Are you not from the area? That could be it. Anyway csulb is awesome, and at least you'd be able to finish on time there!

SDSU Fall 2012 admission hopefuls
first off, congrats to all that were accepted! :) I have a question regarding spring 2013 applicants & the admissions freeze. I'm a transfer student, & applied for the spring 2013 cohort as I have a course IP right now. SDSU isn't accepting transfers for spring 2013- I called the nursing office in regards to this issue but the lady I spoke with said that the SoN has nothing to do with admissions to the university. From what I understood, she said that in order to get into the spring 2013 cohort for nursing, I have to already be enrolled at sdsu in the fall. But I thought your acceptance to the university for fall depends on your acceptance to the program? So I'm a bit confused. I was accepted to other programs but I want to wait it out for sdsu. I'm hoping I still have a chance, but who knows. Anybody know what the deal is for spring?

SFSU Fall 2012
I'm wondering if I should call the office to make sure they received my response form. I don't have a fax machine so I had to go to office depot to do it. Kinda sketchy? Does anyone know if they will give us some sort of verification that they received it? Like an update on gateway or anything like that?

SFSU Fall 2012
It's kinda funny I am going to be in SF the first weekend of June, but for other business! Then a week after that is the orientation at buena park! If I have some down time maybe I'll get to visit the school. I applied for housing in April but I haven't heard from them yet! My friend and I also want to live in the village, i'm hoping to god there are some spots left! If not the village, then I believe University Park North or South. We should definitely become study buddies :) We'll keep each other motivated!

CSU Los Angeles School of Nursing (CSULA Fall 2012)
Karanb1r, Yes. mom's food + laundry service is awesome. I didn't think this decision would be so hard. csula does have wayyyy better pass rates, nclex- 90th percentiles while sfsu was in the 70's. If i go to csula, I'd be able to start fall, if I go to sfsu I start spring 2013. Everything about csula as a school sounds better than sf. My only problem- I'm still young and I want to experience a college life. Sounds immature & selfish to waste my parents $, but my heart says SFSU, brain says CSULA. I will take a day...or two to think about it. @ Darkblue- don't lose hope- I feel that not everyone has received e-mails yet. I know you will get in. Head up!

CSU Los Angeles School of Nursing (CSULA Fall 2012)
right now, debating between csula and sfsu. any type of input would be great! Going to csula will save me money, I can commute from where I live but SF seems to great. I wish they gave us a little longer to decide, but most certainly I will let the SoN know of my decision asap

CSU Los Angeles School of Nursing (CSULA Fall 2012)
I had a 28/31 with all pre-req's finished & volunteer hours. I may not accept though. I am still deciding :) To those that haven't received e-mails yet. Don't give up just yet. We need to reply by May 1st. If we don't reply, were automatically out. And our spots will be given to someone else. So yeah, I'm assuming they are sending out accpetances chunk by chunk instead of all at once

CSU Los Angeles School of Nursing (CSULA Fall 2012)
Likewise, sirena! & congrats karanb1r! I got mine through my yahoo account. I guess it is whatever e-mail you put on your application. But we need to make our decision by 1:00 PM May 1st, or we will lose our spots and someone on the waitlist will take it. That's only like 5 1/2 days!!!

CSU Los Angeles School of Nursing (CSULA Fall 2012)
Wow I just sprinted to my computer to come on here! I also got my acceptance e-mail!!!! Ahhhh my heart is pounding!- not sure if it's because I just ran full speed or because I am just overwhelmed with joy!

CSU Los Angeles School of Nursing (CSULA Fall 2012)
Not sure what the requirements are for the ELMN program. You would be applying for that program right? For the BSN program, you didn't have to finish microbiology but I think it looks more appealing to have everything done before you apply- especially all of your science courses. You need to take the TEAS as well

CSU Los Angeles School of Nursing (CSULA Fall 2012)
I've been accepted to SFSU also, & like spiffy, for spring 2013. Huge relief I got into at least ONE program..If i get into CSULA, it would be nice because I'd get to start right away in the fall. But I'm also yearning for that "living on my own" kind of experience. I'm 21 and although I love my parents, I think I need to get away from them lol. As for the deposit... **** it...I'll just pay for it now I guess. Dang it...I was really hoping letters would be here today or tomorrow. But if they haven't even mailed them out yet...chances are it will probably be delivered to us at the end of the week. @ Azhan- Thanks for the info!!!
