  1. I was put on a call log on Friday I have no idea what that means. Did you speak to ----------------- She said she'd print my app and give it to a supervisor.
  2. :bluecry1:I called the Board today I spoke to &ail, is she the only person that answers the phone by the way? She said my file will be placed on the call log, what exactly does that mean? She wouldn't tell me if any of my information was received. My app was received June 27, she said it was at the end of the month so other apps at the end of the month were still being processed, I have seen July 14 people get their license. My status online has not changed since I applied, I wonder why they even bother.
  3. Im going to Sacramento on Friday Morning, if anyone wants me to check up on a license email me. Im happy to do it. [email protected]
  4. Has anyone gone to the board and checked on their license and was it helpful? Im thinking of going this Thursday its been 7 weeks but I know its going to enforcement and I don't want any hangups.
  5. So online it says to submit everything via attachment, and if you want a temp license then send the application in with the 50$ (anyone correct me if Im wrong). I mailed in my temp application with the stuff I attached online. I even scanned the 2x2 photo. My application still says pending how bout yours? I tried to cancel my temp application and they said money order was cashed already (July 14, sent in July1st)
  6. Wow I also have to go through enforcement, Im gonna call them tomorrow and tell them to disregard that temp license application since it will prob take 6 months to get licensed. I sent in a USPS money order and it hasn't been cashed yet. I hope they don't get mad at me but thats just ridiculous because it will prob take at least 6 months.
  7. Floxy replied to athanasack's topic in Ob/Gyn
Have you tried at Nashville General? I bunch of my friends were hired there for Nurse residency programs in ICU, we did clinicals there and I would try for OB there. Its a really good hospital to get training at.
  8. It is different, I was an LVN when I moved to TN and we came back two years later and Im now an RN so Im endorsing RN and I did the whole process online, except the Temp License which they say to send in. But nothing on my app status has changed it still says pending and I have an RN application # Im assuming thats what it is. Oh and I paid with Credit card and it was taken out the same day.
  9. How long did the status take to change after you guys applied online? Mine has been the same since my application. 06/27. Im an LVN working PRN Homehealth right now, the childcare rate is ridiculous here. I can't afford to work for 23 and hour and hire a babysitter for 20. I have posted ads in Sittercity and Craigslist for child care. Since they make as much as an LVN.
  10. I would except I just submitted my paperwork June 27. They will just turn me away.
  11. When you filed a complaint was there a number you called? I would call them again because to me it sounds like you've waited what your suppose to, it's them that have the problem. I'm sobsorry I know how you feel I Endorsed my Lpn 3 years ago and it was a long process. Id call and file a complaint on them until I got a response from someone from BrN. Good luck!
  12. Hi here is the info for the livescan, The phone number is (916) 227-4557. You will need the following information: (1) your date of birth; and (2) the 10-digit Automated Transaction Identifier (ATI) number that appears at the bottom of the Department of Justice form requesting Live Scanfingerprint background check Ctabs14 isn't that enough time for you to file a complaint against them? Or is that just for permanent license?
  13. Hi when I sent transcript requests I purchased priority envelopes with tracking confirmation so the schools could send the paperwork directly to the BRN ( but they are probably in a stack of mail at the BRN). I also called the live scan and checked ATI number and prints were received. I did my application online too but then sent in my paper app for the temp. When did you apply? What a shock it is to see others applying in April and still not having the license. I hope I did the application correctly I submitted online.
  14. Hi you all sorry to hear about the long wait times, I applied June 27,2016 and I know the BRN has received all my required paperwork. When does the status change currently it says pending-Open. I had to send in for a temp license, some people here say that the temp license is showing up on the application status, mine is not how long until that will post? So I applied to several jobs and they all rejected me because I don't have a CA RN license, how do I apply for RN jobs? Many of my friends from nursing school had jobs but I can understand they were not endorsing to other states. I know my application will take time especially since it will have to go through enforcement. Does anyone know if you are an LVN in CA if the RN endorsement will be faster? I lived here before and now Im coming back as an RN. I know the two boards are different but I don't know if its faster or not. Thanks and good luck to all of you!
  15. HI if you would be so kind to share with me, is Predictor 2 focused on more OB stuff? I took Predictor A and it was lots of different stuff. I have read in the forum though that Predictor B is a lot more OB. THanks!
  16. Is the exam similar in difficulty to question trainers 4,5,6?
  17. Hi How did you guys do on the Kaplan Exit Exam? My class will take it in a few days and Ive heard its terribly hard. Our pass rate has to be above a 70%.
  18. Hi Im taking the exit exam in April is there any advice for passing? We too have to make a 70% to complete our classes if not we have to repeat the whole semester again. Ive been doing the Kaplan Qbank but I don't know how helpful that is. Ive been making between 44-67 on the tests. Our teachers have said the exam is very hard Ive seen an exit exam blueprint around but I really don/t know if that pertains to that test. Thanks and I hope you did well on your exam!
  19. Hi thanks for your post I start in the Summer I think June 1, I haven't received any other info except that I should get more info in the days to come. Do you recommend any books for the challenge exam? I have been brushing up on dosage calculations and pharmacology. Subscribing to a Qbank is also something I was wanting to do. What time do classes usually start and is it everyday or just some days? I wish I had more information that way I could arrange childcare for my kids. I'm really excited to start this program I think I'm more worried about the pharmacology than anything else. Where did you do your clinical's at? I have a green pharmacology book that I purchased months ago to study with its Pharmacology and the Nursing Practice 7th edition: is this the required book? I'm so nervous I haven't worked in at least two years and when I did it was all clinic. I'm not scared because I'm up for a challenge I just don't want to be so behind. Thanks for your help and Congrats on getting through the program.
  20. Thank you I have gotten into the program at TSU. Can you tell me anything else about it?
  21. Yes use the HESI evolve book its extremely helpful. Do the practice tests at the end of each unit. I would suggest doing the hardest parts first. Mine was Reading Comp. I had the lowest scores on this part I can read its just very tedious reading the stuff they test you on. I took the Hesi twice for two different schools. First time I thought because I could read that this part would be easiest so I did it last. I had 30-45 min left and bombed it 75! The easiest parts of the Hesi for me was the Math, (study study study this book) 96% both times or 97%. Then A/P 92% and Grammar I made an 87% then the second time around I made an 87% on reading comp. I suggest you take this first. Pace yourself on this part just because you can read doesn't mean you will make a good score.
  22. Hi girls i just wanted to share my fate with yall since we are all in the same boat. I recieved my acceptance letter from TSU. I wish i could post a pic on here of the ketter but it wont upload. Take care girls we will all be great RN's!!!!
  23. Its ok I have two small kids and wouldnt have be able to drive to the main campus for the transition program I live in Nashville I think its 75miles. Hopefully I will get into the TSU program which is right around the corner!! Best of luck to all of you future nurses!
