New entry-level Masters program at U of A!!
heybucklr, i graduated from university of oregon. portland was always a good time. i havebeen in tucson since last year and my lease is up this month. i'm primarilylooking at speedway or grant. those are both main streets that run east-west.speedway has more restaurants and shops and is a little nicer to look at. grantis a little "grittier" but the rents seem proportionally cheaper.craigslist is pretty good about selection. once you get here you will see that virtuallyevery apartment complex has for rent signs. there is an overabundance of livingspaces here. i just read a fully furnished guest house for 480/month. thatwould be convenient if you didn’t want to incur the expense of hauling all ofyour large items down here. this town is not nearly as nice to bikes as eugenebut it does have bike lanes, and a good bus system on speedway. if you want any more info give me a buzz. i work weekends but have mon-fri off(it's pretty sweet:)). my number is 816.752.6810. and that goes for any others accepted that need info. we might as well start the networking that 15 months of pain is going to forge

New entry-level Masters program at U of A!!
Congratulations Zuzu, I have applied and am likely accepted at pmi for a 30 week bridge to adn. It would be cheaper and about half the time, but the Masters will give me more opportunities. Ive been out of school a few years, it's kinda scary to think that I'm about to sign up for 15 months of pain . It will go quick.....we hope. I thought about asking for an email list of accepted. It would be cool to rent a house close with people who are gonna share the same grueling schedule, but I know they would never release it. Sorry to hear that, akkb. Did you get put on a waiting list?

New entry-level Masters program at U of A!!
i didn’t think of that answer in time . i can't imagine anyone giving any answer other than how great the advances are and how it is improving efficiency and care in the medical setting. but maybe there was someone who hates computers and told them so.....in that case they only need to choose from 189 candidates. i also had the media portrayal question. i told them it was all a horrible soap opera with virtually no basis in reality, which is why i don't own a t.v. hopefully they'll let us know soon.

Hi Zuzu19, I work with a guy whose wife just graduated from the BSN program. I talked to her briefly and she was the one who told me about the interview set-up, and when they let her know she was in. I figured since they kept the interview process the same, it was likely the timeline would be the same. I like the thought about being in competition with the other candidates :) I had kinda the same thought, but I really do think it will likely be based on GPA, as most of the field of candidates are pretty similar. I do hope they let us know asap, as I need to find a new apartment and I don't want to live close to campus unless I'm in the program. I just wish when they asked me about wether I liked technologies encroachment on the medical field I hadn't told them computers will be the downfall of civilization :icon_roll, hehe.

I had been told it would be something like 3 prospectives at a time, with a panel asking questions. I have never had an interview like that before. I couldn't tell if it went badly :). Since it ended up being two poeple and 20 mins, it's hard to get a feel for just how they plan to differentiate us all. I think they will have to go back to GPA, because I also can't see how they could grade too harshly on those silly little essays, either. At least the current students seemed relaxed and friendly. That was a good sign. Did either of you guys hear about a price tag? Is it still 35k?
