I'm confused. What kind of "research degree" are you talking about? My understanding is research is around a particular speciality area, and I have never heard of a nursing research speciality outside of going for a MSN or higher.

What with all the "for profit" nursing programs asking absolutely INSANE tuitions like 3x what it takes for a bsn, and just for a AAS nursing. It just takes so much advantage of so many misdirected desparate people who think the only way they can have "job security" and make more than $10 hr. Its just turned into one big scam outfit, at least here in northern nevada. People are making Big Bucks opening these for profit nursing mills, and it just stinksl

they used to have wait lists...that is TMCC... 3 - 5 yrs. now (until they change it again) its gpa on your science scores (A&P, micro, etc) I've heard, w a lot of students coming from out of country etc, the entrance rate was about 3.8. UNR is thinking about interviews on top of gpa. heard the entrance gps was 3.7+

boy, are you seriously delusional! Do you have any idea of all the social and staff abuse that goes on in there? Discrimination is the byword there; though, they have no problem collecting the fees for "affirmative action." I'm not a bad student. 4.0 gpa, worked for the discoverer of the program (no names mentioned) and she almost didnt leave her money to them due to their poor relationships all the way around. I unfortunately, stood up for them, so hence, they are still around. Big Mistake on my part, and many other, that unlike, the shining star such as yourself, there are many that just aren't "liked" because of color, age, weight, etc. Good luck to you though. But, they have hurt many peoples lives.
