I am in a nursing program and have heard from many people that have been in the hospital that if the patient had male nurses they were great. I am going to be a male nurse soon and was wondering who makes for better nurses, males or females? Or do you think that it comes down to the person and not the gender?
So guys i have a question for you, I only have a few weeks left in RN school and have had some clinical experience. Have any of you had to work with female patients before, generally older generations, and found it challenging? Also any tips to help make this go more smoothly?
Actually from what i have heard and my pesonal experience generally male nurses are more welcomed by the patient and staff. I am from Idaho and graduate in May from an RN program. Also from what I've heard and we have a saying here an LPN stands for low paid nurse so might as well go for the RN
