That makes sense, I do see what you're saying. I mean I know that it wouldn't exactly be an easy process, but it should still be a possibility? If only a small one at that. I know that country's wouldn't give me an easier flow, I was just wondering if it'd be possible to move around as a nurse, I read that there are certain agencies for traveling nurses? I don't know how authentic that is though...

In general, how much would say cost would be? I mean, I plan on working in Canada for a few years before I do something like this, so I'd have some money put away by then, I hope at least.

Hi, as some as you may know, I'm no where near becoming a nurse yet, I'm still in Grade 10 But, I was told awhile a go by my dad's friend who's a nurse is, a nurse is needed pretty much everywhere, I was wondering, if in the future (Assuming I know the language and such) would I be able to travel for a few months or even a year or something to places like Japan or Italy? I know after two years I can become a nurse on a cruise ship for a few months, which is something I'll probably look into a bit more. I know you can travel across country pretty easily, but I don't know about such a big leap. Anyway, I was just curious as to if this was a possibility, assuming not much changes in regards to laws and such.

Hello again, I wanted to know if I could volunteer at my local hospital, the only reasons I'm not sure is: 1. I'm 15 2. I don't have my Permanent Residency, but my sister was able to volunteer @ the YWCA here in the city and she was only visiting. But this is the main hospital in Southern Alberta, so ya' know. (According to Wikipedia) Anyway, I couldn't find an e-mail to contact them by, just a phone number, which I'll call soon, but before I get to excited, could I be able to volunteer? I should probably say the hospital name "Chinook Regional Hospital" has anyone got any experience with this place? What is it like being a volunteer, in general that is? What do you do? Thank you for any help!

I meant a week, I figured it would only be lunch during a shift, should of been more clear ^^' That's fair enough, the whole 7-8 is scary, but I'm sure I could manage, probably not, but, I'll certainly give it a shot And if you can choose, then that makes it better Well, that sounds, challenging, but fun! Considering some of the things I've heard, I have the strangest feeling I'll cry on my first day, but ya' know XD And I figured as much, it does take awhile to feel like your part of it, like when I moved, I only just started feeling like I'm supposed to be here. I've heard of people doing things like changing beds, keeping patients company, things like that, back home teenagers were allowed to serve food, I wasn't expecting anything bigger than changing beds

I don't think I could do the whole leave high school early thing, I wouldn't possibly have enough money by that time.... I will look into all the test's and things, I just don't think that would be a possibility, thank you so much for the help! I'll look into getting some extra help in those areas also. I did expect such tests, I'd be suspicious if they didn't ask I've no problems with that, I have never taken drugs and have relatives who were in healthcare, and I haven't broken any laws I doubt I've been exposed to it xD I'm really looking forward to it know I would do volunteer work, well if it's the only thing available, I'll do it but I need to save for the college I want to go to, chance's are if I get enough money together myself, my parents will pay the rest ^^ That's the main reason I would like to do it for pay, since I wouldn't be able to do as much as a volunteer since I'll have to work for pay as well (Wow, I'm confusing) Either way, I'll make sure to ask questions I really hope that whatever hospital likes me Thank you, it's alright, I'm sure someone will

Not quite yet, I will be by the time I go though since I'm only 15 right now and I get my residency next year, would I be able to get grants and such still? And that's great! I'm glad I can do it there!

Alright, what type of grants/scholarships are available in Canada? I'm glad someone said it I wasn't going to, but if I thought it was that, I'd be outta there before you could say "Nurse!"

Well, I've had no experience in nursing yet, but in all honesty, it would come down to the type of infection, if it wasn't something that simply cannot be cured in the time it takes to die from it, then (If I wasn't already there) I wouldn't come in, I'd most likely get the people I care most about out of harms way. Though I don't really have much of a family after we moved, there would be nothing I could do for most of them, and since my brother intends to move away when he can, my sister also does and my mum decided she wanted to go on the road with my dad (Truck driver) when we all move out, it really depends on who I have since I intend to stay in this city. If I don't have someone to worry about due to everyone being out of the city, then the chances of me going in in that situation are much larger. But like I said, it depends of the infection. But, if it was something that could be cured or at least kept at bay until a cure is found, then I would like to think I would be there as soon as I could... But, like I said, no experience, so I don't really know....

I ask lots of questions I was wondering, how much free time do you generaly get as a nurse? And how much during Nursing school? How many hours is each day in nursing school? I mean like in highschool you do like 8 hours a day, is more, less, the same? What was your first day in Nursing School like? How was your first day as a nurse? How long did it take you to adapt? Since I can start working next year I was wondering, how many jobs are avalible to 16 year olds in hospitals, generaly that is? I'd like to do something in the hospital here to get a feel of it.... I'm in Canada, I'm from England, that's what I meant by student visa I'm not all to sure, I know about low & medium income family grants, which I might qualify for. I don't know about getting a scholarship, I'm not really sure how to get one, but I'll look into it. Thanks, I guess if I do get some sort of grant or scholarship, the extra money would be nice anyway

One more question, what is the average cost for nursing school? This is what's available at the nearest college: Nursing School | Nursing College | Nursing Program | Lethbridge College Would that get me my RN, since that's obviously the I want to go for more money, I mean it's not ALL about money, but it helps.... The cost kinda threw me, I mean my family isn't exactly rich, were not poor, but ya' know, obviously I'll have to save myself, I've already decided I'm going to put money away when I start working (I can't until next year as I'm from England and only have a student visa) is that a good price? Will it get me what I need?
