If your teacher gets her tests directly off the Internet...
How I stumbled across it was when I got a test back with an incorrect answer which disagreed with my interpretation on what the book said I googled the exact question. The whole test came up along with previous tests. This was next to last test for the class, but I had a pretty good idea that the next test would have questions from the same source. (Maybe 150 questions online, teacher uses 30-40 of them) I had heard from the get go that this teacher gets her tests online and everybody knows it, but I didn't see for myself until this happened.

And you happen to stumble across the test bank while correcting a test, would you study the tests for future tests? There was a story about a professor accusing 200 students of cheating for this. Everyone I know seems to think its ok, the majority of the class knows about this resource. What are y'all's thoughts?

Any homeschooling nursing students?
My husband is great about getting them out of the house for me to study, I cannot study with distractions. He usually takes them places 2 nights a week, this semester it has worked out that both of those nights were the day before class days, which was fantastic.

I reallllllly need a break, lol. My hubby is a farmer and is in and out of the house all day. He comes home for lunch and can answer specific questions they might have (though he is clueless about their schooling or what they should even be doing, he can answer math problems, though) They are more than able to stay home alone. They have school and chores and they are pretty good at getting everything done. Math is the most difficult, but they usually only have one or two questions per day. Next semester I should be home by 1 on my school days, anyway.

Oh, and you guys with younger kids, it gets easier, I promise :) (especially if you are able to relinquish responsibility to your kids as they are able to handle it). A friend of mine has a website that is great. It promotes self-teaching. URtheMom.com.home if anyone is interested.

Any homeschooling nursing students?
Thanks for all the replies. Good to hear from some others in my boat.I have always encouraged my kids to be independent. I am not a teacher, lol, learned that years ago. I answer their questions when they need help, but the majority of their work is done independently. It is really nice to get past the "learning to read" stage and into "reading to learn". It just seems like we are all so busy, I would love to drop co-op but they really love it. One thing that helps is we start school in July and take few breaks, we just finished this school year last week! I'm going to really enjoy my break :)

Any homeschooling nursing students?
I start nursing schooling school in the fall. I am just finishing up my first year of college, have all of my non nursing classes finished except micro. I know next fall will be more demanding since the nursing program is on a totally different level of difficulty. I was wondering if there are any other homeschool moms here and how it is going for you. My kids are 12, 9, and 9 (twins). I was apprehensive about how things would go for us with me taking on such a commitment, but so far so good :)I'd love to know how you organize your time and schedules along with any tips for success. :)Eta: we aren't new homeschoolers, we have done it from the beginning, so I'm not talking transitioning into something new.

Bad A&P teacher, nursing school consequences?
Going to check them out now, thanks.

Bad A&P teacher, nursing school consequences?
Lol, my teacher skipped the entire digestive chapter and gave us a take home exam. And the entire exam came up online with a google search of the first question. This class didn't factor in for me whether I got in or not, but it will for some. My school just goes by gpa and hesi. You just have to make a C in the science classes. (my a and p 1 teacher was tough and I made an A in there, too, but it was a hard earned A). The ones who are suffering are people like me, who are here to learn, not just pass. The labs are super easy, too. We have a word bank for the test and don't get in to very much depth at all. I could pass it without even looking over it before the test. I've made 100's on every single test and don't even stay for the entire lab times, much less study any extra.

Yay! That makes me feel so much better. :) I've been really worried about it.

Bad A&P teacher, nursing school consequences?
I am currently finishing my last semester of A&P and have had a terrible A&P 2 teacher. I am not learning anything beyond a 7th grade level. The class is so easy that showing up is all that is required (little to no study time gets me an easy A). I have over a 100 average. Great? Not. I am completely unprepared for nursing school (I have been accepted). What should I do this summer to prepare? (I will be taking micro online) I will say that this school has a great nursing school with an excellent reputation. It is just this one teacher who is just in her 2nd year of teaching.
