KML504, I was wondering if you could tell me more about your path to getting accepted to the nursing program. I am considering BCHS but I would like a first person account of what it's like. Great info. thanks. I was also wondering if you were in the Corpus area or not. I am on the fence about applying for the eline program because I am not in the area. I am from there but I am military and move around a lot. So I'm sure that would make clinical pretty tough. Any advice/info you can offer would be awesome. Thanks! Andi

Hi everyone. I need some info/advice. Here is my story. I was in the Navy as a Hospital Corpsman. I got out after 7 years back in 2005. Since then I've been trying to finish college. It's been a battle with having kids and PCS'ing (since I'm still married to the Navy). So, I finally found an e-line BSN program that is specifically for Vets with medical experience from Texas. It's through Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. So, my question is. Did any of you do your clinical's at a VA hospital (specifically the Memphis VA Hospital)? What was the process like? I know there is the VALOR program but that's for nurses in their junior year and up (and it's a paid position, right?). I think what I need is just a site to do the clinical part of my degree. anyone know what I'm talking about or go through the same thing? Well, I hope there is someone out there that can help me. Hi Dawn, I am moving to the Memphis, TN area this coming August and was looking at all the different nursing programs in the area. Can you tell me more about what SWTCC is like? What was did you have to do to get where you're at today. I'm basically going to start from scratch. Any info/advice you can give is appreciated. Thanks! and I hope you get in! Andi
