Midwife 22, THANK YOU!! That was really really helpful! thank you so much for posting all that. I've been accepted to John's Hopkins and Columbia. I really am not sure I can bare being wait listed at OHSU and I am relying heavily on financial aid so...I'm not sure what I would do if I got in last minute. I'm going to meditate on it for another day or so :) and than make a final decisions. And I agree, what Ms.Bastet said is very true.

I'm on the waitlist as well. I'm in the same boat as Ms.Bastet. Does anyone know, if you accept admission into another school and accept your financial aid package, do the loans you take out transfer, if you get taken of a waitlist and decide to attend a different school?

I know how you feel Midwife22, I only applied to one school last year and was so upset when I didn't get in. I also have a friend who is on the wait list to another school and I know how hard its been on her. She wrote the school a letter of intentent when they wait listed her, I don't know if it helps, but it probably doesn't hurt. My experience taught me to not give up on my dreams and just kinda keep improving myself and my application. And Ms. Bastet is right, not everyone who gets in chooses to go. It really isn't over till its over! For what its worth, I hope you get in!! It sounds like you are a great candidate!

Do they tell you were you are on the wait list? Stay positive!!

I really don't want to call them and ask, but I may have to. I need to give an answer to another school very soon and since this is my top choice, I really don't want to put a deposit down elsewhere. Hopefully we will all hear something soon!

@bringinit247 i'm 25 (almost 26 by the time we start), so not straight out of undergrad :) female though. but my closest friends through out undergrad were older than me. i think its going to awesome and everyone will bond pretty quickly!

Hi All. I also applied into summery entry accelerated BSN/MSN program in Midwifery and still haven't heard anything. I got my application in early and they interviewed me really shortly after that 11/15. I did not apply for early decision. Hopefully we will hear something soon :) Best of Luck to everyone.

@rg06c My dad is all disappointed. He texted me and said he wanted to come with me! I haven't even made any decisions yet but he is very excited lol.

Does anyone know if you can take a year off between the BSN and MSN portion of the program? I seem to remember reading that you can, but can't locate the info.

2012-2013 fafsa is the one you should fill out is my understanding. :)

@princerox I faced the same dilemma on my fafsa and in the end decided not list my parents. I found no evidence in my search online that it actually helps you to list your parents income. In the past its usually harmed me. My parents are also not going to be involved in paying for school, so I'm not really sure what there logic is. If anyone has better information please share :)

Hi All, I know that this thread has not been active for a while, but I'm hoping someone may respond. I have an interview with OHSU on February 2nd. Into the ABSN/MSN program for Midwifery. I was wondering if anyone had any good interview tips or info about how they like the program? Thanks! Ana

Hi All, I just discovered this website recently. I'm really excited to have someone to talk about this whole process! I also got a call on Monday for an interview in to the ABCSN MSNurse Midwifery program. My Interview is February 2nd. I am super excited. @rmfornursing when I spoke to the person on the phone, she did give me options for dates. They seem pretty flexible. She said it would be 3-5 midwifes and the interview is half an hour long. Does anyone have an advice on how to dress? Business suit? Nice dress? Thanks and best of luck to everyone! :)
