  1. I actually did get pregnant right around the time my acceptance letter was being sent out. 2 weeks later, my partner and I had an "oh shiz" moment. Also, of course I told. Told my programs advisors and they were fantastic and supportive. Told work, same reaction, totally wonderful and accommodating. I think they were better than my partner!! Now telling them I had a delayed miscarriage and wouldn't be back to work for three weeks due to medications, that was a different story. Still good about it (and I think my school advisor was relieved), but a different tone.
