  1. Jennifer, you should of already had to fill out immunization forms for any college just to apply. You can call the colleges you've attended and get those records. I hope this helps! And if push comes to shove, you can write a written refusal for the hep B shot, and then go get it on your own when finances line up or you can find one available. I hope this helps. I feel your pain though!! It's all so stressful. Luckily my husband is a fireman/ paramedic and one of his coworkers teaches CPR, so she can put on a class whenever for me. Let me know if anyone is interested in that. I hope this helps. You will get it all done!
  2. Hey guys! I just found out they are only doing the program in Rome this fall. Marietta is defiantly closer to me, but Ive wanted to be a RN so bad for so long I'm totally fine with the drive!
  3. I got my passport photo done today too! I mailed that off today. And got my first Hep B vaccine ( they can do it with Hep A together, but it hurts!), and did my first TB skin test. I signed up for my backgroud check and paid for it, but I won't have time to take off more work this week to go do the drug test. That is first thing next week. Slowly but surely getting everything done on the list! I am so excited to meet all you ladies and gents! I am going to the new student orientation on July 10th. Anyone else?
  4. Does anyone know how classes are scheduled? I know we have clinical hours that we will sign up for, but what about theory times? And how many days a week?
  5. I am wondering the same thing! And do we need both kinds of pants? It wasn't really specific in the packet. I'm wondering how many days a week we are in class.
  6. I am wondering the same thing. I still haven't done the new student orientation to the college, so I can't access score yet.
  7. I got my acceptance letter! The wait is over!!! Congratulations everyone!
  8. I'm curious about the hybrid program? What is it, and how is it different? Is it like the accelerated? Any info would be greatly appreciated!!
  9. I just talked to the nursing director and she said that SAT scores do not expire. It doesn't matter how old they are as long as they are an 850 or above.
  10. Hello All! I saw this post and thought I would join! I just submitted my application to KSU for Fall 2012 traditional program. I am really nervous because I don't think my scores are going to cut it. I made 2 B's in A&P, an A in Micro, and another B in chem. I made virtually all A's in everything else, ( GPA around a 3.3 because of some bad grades from a previous semester.)I also only made an 81 on my TEAS, which I wasn't happy about. I'm trying not to get my hopes up, since I have heard it is extremely competitive and they pretty much take students will all A's in the sciences. I am currently taking my last course required, Chem2. Anyone else in the same boat? I am trying not to set myself up for disappointment. I am applying to other schools to be safe, but really want to go through KSU's program.
  11. If you have c's or better in your English classes you should be exempt from it. I never had to take the regent's because I made A's in English. But better safe than sorry!
  12. Hello all! I am in the process of applying to Georgia Highlands Fall 2012 Nursing program. I am wondering if anyone else is in the same boat? I have all A's and B's in all of pre reqs, 2 Bs and an A in the sciences, which makes me nervous. I also didn't do that well on the TEAS. I got an 81, but did extremely well in the science part of it. I had an 1050 on my SAT'S from back in 2002. I did the worksheet total that they have online, and my score was an 1131. I am wondering if this is enough? But the worksheet does not include the TEAS calculation. Any info or comments would be great! I just want to know where I stand
