Travel IP Positions
I'm currently working as an Infection Preventionist- have about 2.5 years of experience as an IP and 6 years total as a BSN. I will be sitting for my CIC next month. Are there any travel IP's out there? Just looking through websites it looks like there aren't many jobs available; unlike say the ED or ICU. Just wanted to get some insight from IP travel nurses. I've started the process of obtaining my CA nursing license in case a position opens up- I'll be ready. From what I've seen online there are a few in CA. Thanks in advance for any responses.

Graduated from ADN program but feel like a failure
Thanks for the reply! I have applied for KS positions as well as MO. My plan is to take the NCLEX ASAP and then apply for my KS license too. I have applied at LTAC and still can't get a reply. I unfortunately did not work as a PCA during school but I have and continue to volunteer twice a week at a hospital. I used to do home health as a caregiver and received NO training. As a new grad do you feel you recieved the needed training to do home health? I haven't applied to those positions for the fear of this.

Graduated from ADN program but feel like a failure
I live in KC and graduated from an ADN program at the beginning of May. I have been proactively looking for new grad openings as well as entry level RN positions. I have applied to at least 20+ jobs with no call backs!!! I'm feeling very frustrated that I worked so hard for these two years and it seems like I have accomplished nothing. I am starting MU's RN-BSN program this summer and have that on my resume as well. Are any other ADN's or even BSN's in the same boat as me??? It's soo frustrating and embarrassing when people ask me "How come you haven't found a job yet? There is a nursing shortage."

KCMO Hospitals, St Lukes
Hi Wetzoo, What was your interview with St. Lukes like? I will be graduating in May from an ADN program and hope to work there. Do you have your BSN? Everytime I have applied for any position with that hospital I never get a call back. Hoping when I apply for RN job it will be different. Any insight will be helpful! Let us know how it went!

Truman Medical Center Nursing Residency Program
Jamisspears Congrats on getting into the program! I will be graduating in May and plan on applying for their June residency. What was the interview process like? Did you apply to Hospital Hill and Lakewood location? Or are they grouped together on the application. Did you have to sign a contract? Sorry-a lot of Q's. I'm just nervous I won't get a nurse grad position especially since I will only have my Associates and don't have tech experience.
