CCAC Allegheny Evening Fall 2014 Nursing Students
Ok, got my packet. Anyone get the titers done yet? Do you have to go back multiple times for hep-b and tuberculosis? I'm just curious if anyone knows. My appointment is not until the middle of June so I hope I'm giving myself enough time.

CCAC Allegheny Evening Fall 2014 Nursing Students
Hi everyone! I made it in to the evening allegheny program as well and am getting nervous now since I haven't received a packet. I'm guessing it came in the mail? Do we have to get thinks completed before June 10th? Does it list what the schedules look like? I hope I get mine tomorrow.

CCAC Fall 2014 Applicants
@wmr5 same here. I chose ccac because of the nights and weekends and the cost. I can keep my day job and still go to school. Hoping to get into south. Good luck to you!

CCAC Fall 2014 Applicants
I'm applying as well. I applied for the fall 2013 and did not get in due to my gpa. Really hoping I make it this time. Anyone know if I have to request my high school transcripts again or will they have it from last time?

Taking the next step in beginning my nursing career!
You're not alone. I decided to go for nursing 2 years ago. Finally finished all my pre-reqs and have all the other stuff done other than the actual nursing classes. I'm 33 and will be applying for the fall 2014 hopefully south campus nights and weekends since I work as well. Where there's a will there's a way. Good luck!

CCAC Fall Applicants 2013
I am too! I have everything done except for a&p2 and my humanity elective which I'm taking right now and I'll do micro biology in the summer. This is going to be a long few months while we wait.....

CCAC Spring 2013 hopefuls!
Just wondering if you guys can give me an idea. I'm going to apply for the fall 2013 program but do you guys think I even have a chance? I currently have a 2.8 and I did complete a&p1 with a b so I get to add on my .5 , so 3.3. I'm going to take a&p 2 in the spring and hopefully micro biology in the summer so I'm hoping to raise my gpa however that won't help when I apply now. What do you guys think?

Apply now or wait until next year???
I would still apply. My dilemma is that I want to apply for the fall 2013 but I'm itching to have another baby as well. I was really trying to get pregnant now so I could have a baby before the fall semester starts. It didn't work out that way and now I'm just debating on when to have #2. Obviously I don't want to have a baby while in nursing school but who knows if I'll even make it in. Schools are very competitive.

CCAC Spring 2013 hopefuls!
For those of you that got in the evening program can you tell me what your hrs are? I'm going to apply for the fall'13 program but I need nights. I work 8-430 mon-fri and quitting is not an option. I wonder if they have classes to fit my schedule.

CCAC Spring 2013
What? That's crazy! I just read your last post and that makes me sad. I'm going to apply for the fall '13 but my gap is not nearly as good as yours. I may have a 3.0 or a little above after this semester. Bummer! I'm working on getting all the extra classes out of the way so that I can just focus on nursing classes but I'm kinda picky on location. Would love to go to south. How did you find out who was accepted? Is it listed somewhere?

RN School and Family Life
I had my daughter dec 2011 and decided after I had her to become a nurse. I enrolled jan 2012 to take some more pre-reqs. I took bio and human growth and development in the spring. People think I'm absolutely crazy. I'm going to be 32 this month, I work 40 hrs a week and am taking a&p 1 and chemistry right now. My goal is to take a&p 2 and micro biology next spring and hopefully get accepted into the nursing program next fall. Oh, and because my life is not crazy enough my husband and I are debating whether or not to have another baby next summer. Basically what I'm trying to say is, if you want something bad enough you're gonna make it work. I never really cared for school but I've been enjoying every class I'm in. Good luck!

Any nursing students with small kids?
My little one is going to be 8 months old this week and I'm thinking about having another baby next year because of my age. I do work full time and am taking all my pre-reqs and sciences. I'm going to get into the fall'13 program. I really do believe that if you want something bad enough you can do it. Only time will tell. Good luck to everyone.
