  1. I actually did get accepted. I just need to submit all my official transcripts and health clearance. Have you made the move yet?
  2. Hi hbrady0830, Congrats on your admission. I applied to the USF program as well. I just submitted my application yesterday. I am surprised that they are sending out admission letters already considering the deadline is not until another month. Can you please let me know how long after you submitted your application before receiving a decision? Thanks. As far as jobs in the area, there are plenty. If you are living inside of the city the best places to work at are UCSF, and CPMC. I am sure you have heard of UCSF, and CPMC is part of a larger health group called Sutter Health. You may also consider working in the East Bay or South Bay, rent will be significantly cheaper. I would consider working for Stanford in the South Bay, Alta Bates or John Muir in the East Bay.
  3. @girlofthesun, I have been reading your posts unfortunately I am new and can not send you a PM. I find myself with the same experiences as you. I am a relatively new nurse with 17month of experience in an oncology clinic that does clinical research. I was mainly an infusion nurse but also managed some research activities. I am chemo certified and was recently offered two positions. One was a floor nursing position in a peds hem/onc bmt hospital. I haven't had much peds experience but they are willing to train. The other position is a oncology research nurse. Research is very interesting to me, but I am worried that once I do research i will never be able to return to bedside nursing. I want to eventually go back to school perhaps pursue an NP degree. Which position do you think is more valuable? Which position has a higher ceiling for growth? thanks
  4. miasmom, I can't PM you because I have not had enough activity. Feel free to email me [email protected]
  5. I also work for Kaiser in Northern California
  6. Hi mimivn2009, been following this thread today. I was also let go today for similar reasons. Director told me "we believe you are a great nurse, but this position may not be a good fit for you." I was also marked for rehire. Just wondering how the process went for you since then. I would love to be hired to a different dept.
  7. Hi Fungus, I was wondering if you are now working for sjgh? I have made it through the oral exams now im waiting for the hiring interview. Do you have any tips or advice?
  8. results of the interview were sent out today. Did anybody get into the top 3 ranks?
  9. I interviewed for this position also. I believe that the oral exam process is over. What did you guys think of it? Did you guys answer all the questions? Im pretty nervous now.
