  1. I am just a student and haver never been around when someone has passed away, so I guess I have no real experience with this. Anyway... I would not be offended, even though I dont really have any religious believes. When I read these posts, I think like this: If I were to say a prayer over someone who passed away... I would try to make it like something I believe would work with that person's own religion, not mine (if I had one).
  2. Yeah, thats what I hear a lot too. That the best doctors usually have been nurses first.
  3. I have no idea about the situation in US, but here in Sweden it can at some universities be an advantage to have previous medical education (like being a nurse). One university clearly states in their admission policy that you have an advantage with previous medical education.
  4. Heya! First off, I have no idea what "OB" is since I am in Sweden. However... We have some pretty insane exams here too. I got a pretty good advice from a teacher when I started this education and it was like this: Passing a test the first time does not neccisarily make you a better nurse. Sometimes it is those that do the exam several times that end up knowing the stuff better. Also I feel that the exams I made over a year ago do not reflect very well what I know right now. I have already forgotten lots and I have got an deeper understanding of some parts. It comes and it goes. I dont worry about the exams. It usually work out pretty well in the end anyway. :)
