  1. Totally fair! I believe you should be able to get access to the Potter and Perry resources though on the Evolve website and the practice questions. It never hurts to do more questions!
  2. I just had a med/surg interview for a nurse residency program and here were some questions I was asked: -Why do you want to work here vs. other hospital in town -Give an example of a time you gave excellent care -You just realized you have committed a med error. What do you do next? -A Dr. asks you to do something that you have seen him do a million times but isn't in your scope of practice. What do you say? -What do you think about doing something that is considered to be the techs job? (can't remember the exact wording...I think what they wanted was teamwork)

We use pageburst and our textbook packages have both ebook and the actual text book. What I have started doing is purchasing the ebook separately from Pagebust then renting the book from Chegg (so much cheaper than buying the book package from the bookstore!). While I love the ebook for reading the chapters I need the actual book to study for tests. There is something about flipping through a book while studying that helps me. Also, the ebooks rock for doing care plans! So easy to find meds and find the patho! Lastly, the Evolve resources are great! If you add the book resources to your account (free!) you get a ton of practice questions!
  4. Hi! I applied to BJ's Spring 2012 program in Aug. 2011 and found out end of Oct. 2011 that I was wait-listed for the Spring and Summer programs and was guaranteed a spot in Fall 2012. I think it ended up taking 6 weeks for the letter to come. My GPA is a little bit lower than yours. Good luck to you! I am sure you will get in! Also, I hear ya about the suspense! I was checking the mailbox EVERY day with my fingers crossed!
