  1. Hey Qester, I noticed you wrote your NCLEX last year also. I am also a New York State RN currently working over there. Sounds like we are in the same boat. I am also a RPN over here in Ontario and have been for 22 years. Hopefully, we can pull together and beat this CRNE thing!!
  2. Sure, send me an email to the address above.
  3. KoolRN1....are you out there???
  4. Hey KoolRN1, I am in the Niagara Region and am preparing for the CRNE in June. Feel free to contact me if you wish [email protected] . I am also an American RN, something makes me think you may be too.
  5. I just thought I would give a little advice here, I just wrote my NCLEX RN this morning. Had 21 select all that apply and I thought I had died right there! This was my third attempt. First time I used ATI, ended up getting frustrated with it near the end, tried NCLEX, failed. Then paid for the KAPLAN online. That was okay, thought I had found a secret in answering the questions thrown at me at the testing center...but nooo....failed again. I was devastated.... So, after spending many a day and night searching for the best solution, I drove down to Cincinnati from Buffalo and took the live review from Hurst. It was the best thing I had ever done! I havn't officially passed but got the good pop up after 75 questions. Yep, I cried, screamed and cried some more. I feel that after attempting the NCLEX three times I seem to think that most prep courses throw too much information at you. Hurst review tells you the basics and believe me, that is all you need. YOU ARE A BRAND NEW NURSE!! We need to only know the basics of patient safety and priorities. Hope this helps.
  6. As a graduate of a New York Assoicate Degree in Nursing (2011) and being from Ontario, Canada, I can tell you this. The only provinces at this time that requires a BSN degree to practice as an RN are British Columbia, Ontario and P.E.I. All other states do not require that you have your BSN. Your Associates is accepted as equivalent education to practice in their province. A BSN from United States is pretty much world wide. Getting your BSN gives you the freedom to go anywhere but the Associate Degree restricts your ability to practice in some areas/Countries. Hope this helps.
